It needs to eat. Not it's fault that humans are probably on the top of it's menu due to being the biggest source of food.
Well It don't matter to me wither it lives or dies. As long as it doesn't come near me. To the villagers it does matter though I'm sure. I'm not too fond of dying, so anything that threatens my life I'd like to see go away, far away.
I don't care how it goes away. Just that it needs to stay away.

awe why do they have to kill it, put it a enclosed habitat or something (they could sell it for a lot of $$$)
@Roy
100% hypothetical because this couldn't happen:
let's say Chen had been killing mice and so a group of mice attacked and captured Chen, would you want them to kill him? BD

I prefer reptiles > all mammals
dangerous or not

It's true though, they were there first, we intrude on their territory, not the other way around.

Yup.
They kill on instinct, we do the same, but we also kill for revenge, hate, convenience..
It has no legit reason to be killed. If it is killed, it's because we were too selfish to give it a decent life.

Elorde said the crocodile killed a water buffalo in an attack witnessed by villagers last month and was also suspected of having attacked a fisherman who went missing in July.
The crocodile was placed in a fenced cage in an area where the town plans to build an ecotourism park for species found in a vast marshland in Agusan, an impoverished region about 515 miles (830 kilometers) southeast of Manila, Elorde said.
"It will be the biggest star of the park," Elorde said, adding that villagers were happy that they would be able to turn the dangerous crocodile "from a threat into an asset."
Please stop throwing around the word selfish.

selling the crocodile to a zoo would be thousand times worse. suggesting that makes me think you have a grudge against crocodiles.

It getting cared for and not having to worry about it getting killed by spiteful villagers? Oh, yes, that is
far worse.
@ Lan;
It killed people for food, that's nature. It would have /died/ without it.
Unless they have huge, 50lb fish swimming around that would give it an adequate food supply, which I highly doubt.
Blaming the croc for doing what it's genes tell it to do is like condemning someone for breathing. Killing it because they were too stupid to stay away from the croc's home is their own fault.

Who said anyone would take care of them? Even a person who is not a pessimist can tell you that the treatment at a zoo is far worse than death.

1.) They didn't kill it.
2.) That croc's "home" is how they earn the livelihood, without it they would die.

Oh, I'm honestly surprised they didn't kill it. I must have misread about it initially. They're putting it into an ecotourist park? My only question is how are they going to produce enough food for it?
