Pokemon anime isn't canon though.
The manga is. Though I gotta say the Diamond and Pearl part of the manga was absolute trash compared to the rest. Black and White saved it.
But the manga excludes Jessi, James, and meowth altogether. Their design was supposed to be a cheap, easy, comedic, reusable antagonist that would star in each episode in disguise to trick people into almost stealing their pokemon.
Kids dig that **** up.

Out of curiosity. How are they gonna survive without Brock? It's a fact that he's what holds and keeps the group alive. Lmfao.

Quote from Dejosa;585602:
The games are very enjoyable to me, but the anime is just a blah.
Pokemon is like One Piece, just continues on and on with no point of the story moving for dozens of episodes.
That's why I don't watch ridiculously long animes.
Too many episodes, barely any progress in the story.
unless of course you hear the double standard to that arguement, Oh look your watching the best anime your favourite new anime then it ends in 12 episodes and you go "NUUU WHY U GOTTA END!!!11!" , I like onepiece for being a Long anime, as long as the content is Fun and enjoyable

There's also a big different between OP and Pokemon. Characters grow in OP, as in stronger, etc, etc. Pokemon just resets every other season or two. Lmfao.

I think that's the only difference in the series.
Exception of the stories and their settings.

Yeah, how Ash's memory likes being erased and his Pokemon are for some weird reason he caught in his previous regions, are completely forgotten. And even the legendary Pokemon he meets, well, also forgotten. This everything Ash forgets is really, just wonderful, yes? Every ending for Pokemon is like...A new beginning.
I don't think it's too dead, but they really made the anime pretty screwed up now that Meowth is the protagonist now. The days when they kept recycling Brock. He was getting old...

I wouldn't have a problem with Pokemon being long if Ash could retain his memory of awesome things that happened.
He also needs to stop getting all these new Pokemon and leaving all the others behind. When is he actually going to win?

Ash... Win? That's like unpossible. /sarcasm. He did decently well in the very first one. Everything else I don't even remember how far he got.
