I think the only iproduct really worth getting is the ipod touch. Personally the iproduct 3G plans are way too expensive, so the iphone is unnecessary. The ipad is also worthless in the face of laptops and android tablets, especially considered that it cannot run any flash applications.
Its the greatest disadvantage to the ipad. I'm not sure why they didn't do it, but without flash, the android easily places itself as a better investment. When you take the price tag and compare tablets, its pretty clear which is actually better.
The ipod are nice, I'll admit. They show the quality of the price. But its still too overpriced. I've owned a few mp3 players below the 100 dollar range and they have all performed excellent, and have done just about everything the ipod can do. Plus, I can avoid that crap we all know as itunes, the worst possible software imaginable.
Its hard to show that an ipod is overpriced because people seem to look down on all other mp3 players so much. Let me give you another example of an overpriced apple product you can agree is overpriced no matter how much you love iproducts and you hate other products.
The ipod shuffle. Have you ever used it? Its beyond expensive and barely holds any songs. You can either line up your songs and listen to them in order, or you can just shuffle them. Your only options are volume, play/pause, rewind and forward. The first generation ipod shuffle was bigger than your average usb stick, and technically WAS a usb stick. Its launch price? 80 dollars. At the time, you could easily get a mp3 with a larger memory and a screen with menus/options for only 40 dollars.
Even now, the fourth generation ipod shuffle is 40 dollars. With 40 dollars now, I can actually get something that performs very similarly to today's ipods.
I've definitely considered owning a ipod touch. Its pretty much an iphone without the phone, but as long as I have wifi I could always call with other apps if I really need. Otherwise I don't think I'll ever own an apple product. Its just too damn expensive for what it is. You're pretty much paying for a fashion item. Like a Starbucks coffee over a local coffee.

I'd rather own one of those than a current apple product.
Recently I've been obsessing over retro computers. I also want a copy of windows 95 if I can find it.
