Nice mouse, but the wires would annoy me. :l
I had an old wired mouse when I first got my netbook, then I bought one similar to what the cat's master has, but it's a bit smaller and wireless, and half the price. Totally love it.

I hate wireless mice. D8 The latency, even while often barely noticeable, drives me crazy. I was shopping for a new mouse a few months ago and I just went for the most basic logitech optical mouse. Works nicely. :P

The mouse I'd get would probably be the WoW Steelseries mouse.

I was thinking Razor Naga, but... it seems like the Steelseries probably has more usable buttons.
Right now I have a M500, I've had a, uh... I forget. G500, probably. The one with weights and whatnot. One of the original ones though, without the hyperscrolling and with uh... only 1 side button. Had a wireless MX Revolution too (hated it, it kept skipping on me). Went with the M500 over G500 cause I only used the middle DPI setting on the G500 and I wanted hyperscrolling and more buttons, and well, things worked out.

Razer and Steelseries are both expensive brands
but the cat is sure that Razer's products dont have as much price:quality ratio
(even though Razer products are still high quality)

Thank you.
Wireless can go suck it. Basic logitech optical mouse ftw.
Except its starting to be real difficult finding said "basic logitech optical mouse". They're coming out with all these "compact" ones that are small and easy to carry. Screw that crap!
And they're all wireless now! I don't care if the battery life is "1 year*"
"*if you turn it off after use"
Wireless technology is neat and all, but its just not all there yet for me. I'm still feeling more comfortable with directly connecting. Come up with wireless energy source and then we'll talk.
That said, my 15 dollar mouse has served me diligently over the years and having used a few 1xx dollar gaming mouse before I can't really say the difference is so significant that I would want to switch.
I still play my games well, and it has enough precision that I can work with the tiniest pixels in photoshop.

Yeah, i'm not really fussy.
Just like Alienware, I don't get the $100 gaming mouses with a bajillion buttons on the side.
Mine has a left-click, a right-click, and a scroll in the middle. Works for me.

Can't stand wireless. As an accessory to a laptop sure. For my desktop no way. That **** is on 24/7. I tried wireless once and changed the batteries 4 or 5 times in 3 months, I took that **** and threw it out.

Overall, it comes to this.
Wireless mice just make me want to throw it out the window when the latency is terrible. Besides, there enough space on the desk for even a long wire if the mouse has to have one.

Some like the MX Revolution have a recharging stand you just sit it in when not using it that charges it. Never really had a power problem with that one...
And when I was using a wireless MS Intellimouse Explorer one back in
the day... I had rechargable batteries and a battery recharger lol... always had a couple spare sets charged and ready to go if I needed it.
But yeah, I loathe wireless mice. Bad experiences with them lagging and skipping...

League of Legends:
>Enemy has 20% hp. Lux's laser ultimate is up and I can cast it.
>hits R, points at enemy, click.
>nothing happens.
>enemy runs away.
>I move my mouse, nothing happens.
>enemies start ganking me.
>look at mouse, still has batteries.
>try moving it again. now it works.
>running away, but its too late because ashe is standing right behind me.

Blarg, as long as a mouse has left mouse, right mouse, middle mouse, and two buttons on the side, I'm fine. Cause you know, those two buttons are really handy in fps games that consume alot of keyboard keys.

Well, a lot of buttons are useful in an MMO environment like Aion or Age of Conan where you have a metric ****ton of alt+key, ctrl+key, alt+ctrl+key, alt+shift+key, ctrl+shift+key, shift+key, alt+ctrl+shift+key modifiers and crap, and sometimes need to do them in rapid succession, and while moving... and still being able to (back when I had a headset instead of headphones) talk on vent with a push to talk button on my mouse. Yeah. Doing all of that can be ****ing hard...
I've found mouse buttons useful for 3d modeling too, since instead of having to hold down some key to move something, etc., I can just hit a button on my mouse.
Buttons are also useful for macros, if they can be made into full macros... the mouse I have atm sucks in that it can't do full on macros like my keyboard, and my G-keys on my keyboard are in a practically unusable placement during some sort of moment where I would really need them. To make it work I have to make an autohotkey macro and bind it to some random key and bind that key to my mouse... sort of a wonky way of having to do it, but things just aren't reachable and usable when needed otherwise.
