Seriously, wat. I was told that because I am FtM/Transgender (although still in the early stages of transition) that I can't like anything girly, because then "I should have just stayed a girl."
How does that work? Suddenly I can't be a guy because I like some pop music and enjoy staring at cute kawaii desu moe stuff online?
Social standards are weird, man.

People prefer if you fit into stereotypes.
Not to mention.. a lot of guys love cute moe stuff. heck "moe" was invented by guys, it's not a word girls often use..

Lmao. I got b*tched at because I like stuff like
this. Not really wearing it.. but looking at it and seeing it on other people is nice.
People and their stereotypes. So silly.
Awhile back a friend of mine got yelled at as-well because he was FtM but still liked guys.

Admittedly it's hard to understand the mindset of being one gender trapped in the body of the opposite sex, as I can't even begin to imagine that feeling. But apparently it's even harder for some people to accept that it exists, which is truly a shame.

I can understand that much and don't even care if people accept it so long as it doesn't effect me in any way. But when people set stupid standards and rules for it? Uh, no. There's no need to do that.
it's amazing how "open" people can be so closed minded in reality.

I got this once:
"You're too smart to go to art school."
It didn't make me particularly happy, because it implied something about what I love to do. Namely, that smart people don't do the art thing.

My mom often says: "You're too old to _____."
That can be either watching anime...
"You're too old to watch cartoons."
"You're too old to play games."
T_T...

DOWN WITH THE STEREOTYPES, MAN.
@ Addy; I always assumed that artists were fairly smart, rofl..
unless they mean it in the "you're stupid to waste your time in art school" sense.

I don't think they meant it in a mean way. I think they just meant that art only takes artistic skill and talent, and you could do that regardless of how smart you are. But being smart, you could also go to be a doctor, lawyer, politician, blah blah blah. They probably just want the best for you... artists don't make a lot of money.

The fact that these even exist is hilarious in my eyes
Very person has their own personalities and desires and dislikes.
If anyone assumes something of you, tell them wrong - if they really want to put you down into things, they can do what ever they want in their head
Their thoughts can never change how you, or anyone else are.
