This has always been a confusing subject for me, as I'm sure it is for a lot of people. Since I don't really have a faith or religion, it's not like I can think "oh we either go to heaven or hell" or "oh we go to a place full of virgins" etc etc.
I personally don't know what to believe. It's something I've always said "I'll know when I die" to.
So, what do you think? Do you think there's a heaven and hell? Do you think there's anyplace our spirits/souls go? Do you think we simply cease to exist?

I do believe there's a heaven of sorts but not really some golden city built on clouds with angels checking off names on a list of people who can enter. I'm kind of leaning towards a thought that I have that when you die, not only your body decomposes and replenishes the earth with it's nutrients, your soul is also cast in with the mix. Then it moves through nature on it's course and you're kind a part of everything. As for Hell, I'm not really sure what happens, but I don't really intend to go their and find out.

You become worm food, or if you get cremated you become pollution. Circle of life baby.

I always feel like I'll know when I'm close to death or when I'll die too. I'm not particularly religious though.
I have no belief in rebirth of any sort though.

Not if you write yourself an advance bot that will post when after you die. Just have it spam random things in Bean Rua every once in awhile. It is almost the same content right now anyways.

I'm not sure about my faith either. Anyways, I rather be cremated just in case a zombie apocalypse ever does come.

For the sake of those who deserve to die horrible, gruesome deaths? I hope nothin'.
For those who deserve a peaceful ending? I hope there's something up there, some sort of comforting place or paradise for them to finally be at ease.
I guess I hope it just varies per person.

I don't believe anything happens when we die. I hope, but I don't actually feel like I can believe. I used to be agnostic (as opposed to atheist) because I still wanted to believe something would happen, but my brain can't wrap around the idea, still, even if it's something I want.

It depend on a lot of factors. But in most case "you" as an existance is gone.
People exist for the purpose of reaching a degree of maturity for their soul. When the body dies before the maturity is acheived, the soul will reincarnate and try reaching maturity in another life. Once the soul reach maturity in it's life, it will be freed from the cycle of reincarnation and upon the death of the body, will seperate itself from this world and create it's own world. The world it create will mostly be based on the belief the person had in that last life so, if they believe in heaven and such, they will make their own heaven, if they somehow believe they are an horrible person that will end up in hell(very unlicky to happen) they will create their own hell. If they believe they didn't die, they will make a copy of the world they knew. If they believe in nothingness after death.. they will end up in complete Oblivion... If they know this and are aware of their own death, well they will be some sort of self-aware god in their own world, able to shape it like they want.
The main problem with this is that, "you" as an existance is the mix of soul and body.. while the soul may carry on some traces of your existance inside, the "you" as of now will be gone since the memories and experiences that formed you will vanish with the body. In a way.. "you" will be gone and the next reincarnation will not be "you". The feeling of Self-Awareness will be gone at death.

I don't really know, it's something I occasionally think about once in a while.
One idea I had in my head was like...when you die, your life continues on.
Like, you wake up in the morning, you get out of bed, and other people who have died (as morbid as that sounds) are walking around, living their lives. You eat lunch at the cafe with an old friend, you watch a football game, you read books, yada yada. But, there's a lot of holes in that: What about people you know who haven't died? Is there any poverty, crime, sadness? So that doesn't exactly work.
I like to think that my mind continues, even if my body does not. And in my mind, i'm in my body, walking and talk and breathing and living.
