I think the reputation system should be disabled or changed.

  Well, lately. I have been noticing that some of the users here, have been repping each other for no reasons or just for lulz. (I'm guilty of it few times as well) So most of the user's reputations isn't earned the legit way, and I don't think.. it's right because some of us users tried our best to earn our reputations legally.
  
  So... I'm thinking that maybe you guys should disable the system so people won't abuse/troll it, or at least, change it to be sure no one can be silly and decide to rep each other for no reasons.

  I agree with this. I personally don't rep that much, but I think a lot of the rep isn't gained legitly for the right reasons.

  Who cares why someone reps someone else? They have their own reason, even if it's simply because they like the user. There is no "legal" way to obtain rep. You get it because someone likes you/likes what you post. There's a reason why the more popular people here have more rep.
  
  Now, as for the "rep me" threads, yeah, those are against the rules. But they're usually closed as soon as a mod sees them.

  Some people base validity of a post/tip based on the poster's rep. And apparently zeo thinks rep gained from telling jokes in bean rua isn't a legitimate source.

  There are plenty of people who don't even post regularly in Bean Rua, and still have a decent amount of rep. A good chunk of my rep is from answering questions and helping people in the Mabinogi section. It really isn't a big deal, though. It's rep. It's not like people look at your rep and go, "Oh he only has one bar, he can't be right." Even with my completely negative rep, people still listen to my answers to their questions and actually rep me for them.
  
  Rep isn't something you should get worked up about. Sure, it's fun to get, but it's not what the site is about. Just post and be happy.

  Because Osayidan carried over pretty much everything from Mabiguru, which had the reputation system, onto Mabination. Plus, taking it out it would probably be more work for Osayidan to do.

  There's some problems with the system, but nothing bad enough to warrant any drastic change, you can always just disable rep on your user settings and not be a part of the system at all.
