These forums should get a SAX chat thingy

  On another forum I'm on, it has a SAX chat, and it does all of the following: Functions as a shoutbox, notifies everyone of someone logging on/off, notifies everyone of a new post/topic and gives a link to it, does that as well for edited posts, links to a separate IRC chat, responds to some commands(Has some chatbots that do that), shortens URLs, can show reputation, can give reputation as a response to a command(<NAME>++), and lets you have your own nickname in it. You can also pop it out of the page in a separate window. 8D

  I forgot to mention, it also automatically highlights messages in it that have your nickname in them, and it has a highlight box that pops up in the lower left corner for those messages, that disappears on clicking or going to another page.

  Exactly why. It devalues the use of making threads.
  
  The shoutbox will quickly become a replacement for bean rua, and more specifically, the market boards. I've seen it happen in various forums, we've even given it a trial run before, it went exactly like I said, and we pulled it down. I'm sticking by my guns on this one.
