.....I'll make sure he dies a horrible death! =[
By the way, what in the world happened to Vander Decken (?) ? Wasn't he supposed to be chasing after Luffy?O.e

He'll probably come back, he just got his ass handed to him.

Hahah, I'm still wondering how can that Vander Decken be feared? I mean, his skill is cool and all. You could kill people from the other side of the world and so on, but you just need some average power/speed in order to be able to stop them (like Luffy did). This would mean that he should of have gotten his butt handed to him already, doesn't it?o.o
Also no One Piece this week T-T.

I'm sure there is going to be another back story to him, which I hope not... I'm kinda tired of flashbacks...

Oh, come on! Flashbacks are like one of the best parts! If it weren't for them, we wouldn't know who the original owner of the strawhat was, how the crew lived before meeting Luffy, Fishertiger, etc etc. Plus aren't you hoping for a flashback about what happened in their training places, what they learned, or what Sanji suffered back in Okama Island?xD
Well, I guess some people like some things and other's don't... D:

I don't mind them, but I don't like having so many chapters of flashbacks... Maybe due to other works that constantly haves them.

The start of the story where luffy gets the hat isn't a flashback, it actually starts that way then skips ahead to when he's ready to head off into the world.
The training of the crew would be interesting, but they used it as a sort of filler in the anime, so not sure if it would be used in the manga. If they use it in the manga it'll be ridiculously boring for those who already saw it.
As for the rest of the flashbacks, it's very situational for me. In the case of One Piece, where I wait weekly for chapters, flashbacks really annoy me because I want to get back into the action. If on the other hand the series is completed, then you can have all the flashbacks you want because I'll go from beginning to end uninterrupted and not be disappointed from when I wait a whole week (or more when the release takes week+ vacation) just for a flashback.

I was referring to the original owner...you know, Gol D. Roger. The strawhat belonged to him first and it was shown in a flash back.
Also, flashbacks build up the personality of crew members/other random people and gives you reasons for how they act. We all would hate Franky if flashbacks hadn't shown us why it was his dream to build a ship and travel around the world, or why Robin allied herself with Crocodile. Nami's behavior when near Arlong wouldn't make sense if we didn't know what happened in her childhood and all the things she went through. For instance, Laboon would have been forgotten if it wasn't for the fact that Brook talks about him leaving a baby whale behind and has a flashback of how they met. Another example could be Buggy's. His grudge towards Shanks didn't make sense until we saw what had happened to him, and his power wouldn't be that much of a reason to hate someone if it weren't for the fact that he wanted to find treasures in the bottom of the sea.
All I can think of as a reason to hate flashbacks is that people see things in a different way than others. Like Koala last chapter: some people call her creepy and want her to die already (assholes >_>), while I cried when I saw her reactions and learned her background story.
Also........Thank you so so so much for posting the latest chapter XD!! I wouldn't have checked if it hadn't been for your link.

Chapter released at the weekend apparently means none this week. If that's true I am quite pissed off.

I can't believe what they did to him...It was just inhuman D:
And for the first time in my life, I think I feel sorry for what's going to happen (or already happened since this is a flashback) to Arlong.

LOL! Here I was thinking that he reminded me of someone xD
I do wonder if he had his powers back then though, and if he didn't, it means he's strong even without them. I always say that he just plays around, otherwise he could kill anyone in the world at the speed of light :L

I still don't feel sorry for that guy. He looks like he might strike a deal with the government too in the following chapters...
