  I mean, sure, it's not We Are! but it's an appropriate opening for celebrating the old and ushering in the new, especially since at this point in the time skip nothing heavy has happened yet. There will be time for more exciting or more angsty OPs (though the latter is hardly One Piece's style in terms of their openings or their endings), but for now, it's pretty suitable.
  
  @Osayidan: I found the fake Straw Hats to be a perfect representation of how far the actual Straw Hats have come in two years. Not just because they're imposters or it allowed us to see some of the new abilities and mindsets of the crew, but because it's kinda like the entire crew saying "Wow, you guys are still on that? That was so 2 years ago," showing that even in their lull period for training, our beloved crew remains trendsetters on and off the Grand Line, for those behind the times and for those ahead of the curve.
  
  Plus, it's totally something Oda would do. That crazy, random shounen genius.
  
  But you're right. It's not something that should be dragged out too long. Although I will say that we should probably expect some filler either now or after the conclusion of the Fisherman Isle arc. The anime might only have a year tops before it catches up with the manga if they don't throw on the breaks. Even less if they decide to be trigger happy with hour-long eps.

  Strong world was pretty damned awesome, mainly because Oda wrote it and supervised production.
  If he hadn't it would have probably sucked like all the others (they sucked in terms of quality of the movie but worth watching for the fights), and 8 and 9 were just recaps :|
  
  If this one is also being written and supervised by Oda then I expect it to kick ass as well, if not, I'll not get my hopes up and hope they do a good job.

  [SPOILER="Spoiler"]There is a point in the story where the entire crew is separated after a crushing defeat, making it clear how out of their league the Straw Hats are as they approach the New World. Usopp winds up on an island filled with nothing but carnivorous creatures. An island so deadly that even the island itself is a humongous carnivorous plant. Usopp meets a man named Heracles-un who kinda mentors him on the island and shows him the ropes. This island is really difficult to escape, as the further out you go the more things try to eat you. Usopp learns that Luffy's brother, Ace, is about to be executed, and much like the other crew members who wound up in their own "ideal training grounds" is desperately trying to make his way to his captain in his time of need. Usopp does so much fighting and eating that he becomes really, really fat, an indication of how much stronger he's getting on this island that the prey became one of the island's biggest predators. He later learns that Luffy has left a message in a newspaper telling the crew to wait two years and get stronger before they rendezvous at the promised place. And then he spends those two years dominating that island, getting buff as fuck and upgrading from slingshot sniper to botanist trapper/hunter.[/SPOILER]
