By the way, back to the actual discussion:
It would appear (at least to me and my somewhat limited knowledge of Korean) that his new dodge, "Weaving," replaces shock absorb, and each successful "Weave" powers up his "Burst Gauge." This "Burst Gauge" has three steps: "Burst Gauge Step 1: Increase Attack Speed: Burst Gauge Step 2: increased damage. Burst Gauge Step 3: [After a predetermined number of smashes, the smash following them is a 100% crit.]"
The weapon itself appears to be a sort of combination of a battle gauntlet and wrist-mounted gun, able to mechanically fire a charge, similar in both form and (from what I can tell) function to Evie's Firebolt.
The implications of these is relatively unknown, given that his Gauntlet (Or Blaster Gage, as it's referred to in Korea) is not currently released. That being said, however, my first thought is that it could be more for DPS in a party, with a possibly faster, more centralized area of attack, and his dodge focusing more on damage (as is evident by the three steps of his Burst Gauge) rather than restoring HP. Another theory I have, supported by the apparent AoE of his Blaster's Firebolt-type attack, is that the Blaster Gage will have a smaller melee range, but will be able to perform longer-ranged specials, which have a slight AoE. Looking at the fifth picture from the top, you can see that the actual explosion is a few feet in front of Karok, suggesting that it has a range longer than that of a normal melee attack.
TL;DR
Karok's "Blaster Gage" has a few things that appear to be confirmed:
- (Maybe) Slightly longer range, possibly focusing more on AoE
- A firebolt-style attack fired from the actual Gauntlet itself
- A new meter, Karok's "Burst Gauge" which has three effects it activates depending on its fullness: Speed, Damage, Crit. This meter appears to be filled by using Karok's dodge:
- Weaving. This appears to be the replacement for Shock Absorb, and apparently powers up Karok's Burst Gauge.
