Quote from Invertex;633579:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the pre-Controlled BH cutscene seems to imply Black Hammer was unable to bring himself to kill Shakarr. I might have misread that though. That being the case, then Shakarr is still alive. Of course this means nothing as he is defeated by the player (and potentially Keaghen as well, since Keaghen is right there in the post fight cutscene).
If shakar is still alive, that wouldn't be meaningless. The player didn't really defeat Shakar, he/she just passed Shakar's test of strength. And Kaeghan, the only one knowh to have defeated him for real, doesn't feel like helping anymore.
The fact that they refer to Brynn as the "Magician outside of the Rocheste or Magic Guild". If you remember correctly, at the beginning of the game, Gwynn doesn't like Brynn, not a direct tell, but you can usually see the Royal Army's opinion about someone from Gwynn (the early game Gwynn, not later). Oh, Riodan doesn't like Brynn either, he should be able to represent the court just right.
As for the expel part.... That's weird, since I do remember seeing somewhere that the Magic Guild doesn't recognize Brynn as their own. Oh well.
Keaghan do like to help actually, he's planning on bringing Erinn, so he will kill Shakarr if he's in the way.

It seemed to me that Gwynn dislikes magicians in general, not Brynn specifically. She initially gets kinda pissed or offended when she hears that Brynn wouldn't leave his lab, then she remembers how eccentric magicians are and decides to just deal with it. And she didn't know about Brynn before coming to Colhen, so you can't determine what the court thinks about him based on her. I don't remember anything about what Riordan thinks of Brynn. Did he hate Brynn without meeting him or something?

Brynn:
A letter...from the Rocheste Magician's Guild?
I have no time for that.
Who knows what they put inside?
Here, open it for me and check.
Hm, nothing happened.
Last time, the letter transformed the opener into a frog.
Disappointing...
Thank you for your invaluable service.
Now, give me that.
Delivered Magician Guild Letter
Brynn:
They need to study the yetis, so they want a sample.
If I provide this, they will cancel my late dues.
That would be quite a sum of coin...
And if I don't comply, they will strip my magician title.
They assume I care for such formalities.
I shall leave this to you, I think.
If you feel inclined to bolige them,
I will muster a small amount of gratitude.

I think they have met, Riodan and Brynn. But I remember hearing from Riodan speaking lowly about the Magican in Colhen.
