Alright, I'll just try Small Shield tomorrow.
I probably should watch videos to see how people in Korea tend to run these bosses. But I sort of like the feeling of beating a boss without having to check other places for help. Colru is just the first boss I've done so badly against that I just can't figure out how to do better myself.

large shield fiona + staff evie paired with the green golem is fine, as long as you're fine with just tanking and drawing aggro and only attacking when he's aiming for the magic arrow. I find that the walls glitch when players are too close to them when they are being activated. If you're not the first to a switch make sure you run around it, better just you dead than six people dead.

Lies and slander.
Colru is the most fun ever for a Fiona using small shield.

Big block of text incoming...
If you bring along a small shield, you can counter Colru's ring of fire (though I'm pretty sure everything else is a smash). As for the wall lagging and stuff, that's not the wall. Chances are there's someone running over the wall when you're deploying it so it doesn't go up (which results in getting everyone in that area screwed). I've hosted a couple of Colru runs so far and as far as I've seen, the best party match-ups are 4 Evies and 4 Fionas (1 Evie and 1 Fiona for each room. Then chain rg colru when he spawns with the Evies). I guess 6 Evies or 7 Evies and 2 Fionas and 1 Fiona would also work but whatever. As for his rock toss...well all I can say is that you just need to run away from him and keep sprinting then roll to dodge the rock. As for his gaps being too short for the LR combo, you can probably fit it in, just not when he's doing an attack chain (I've fit in attack combos before). A lot of dps also depends on having a good catapulter since the catapult actually does a decent amount of damage to him and stuns him when 2 rocks hit him (they can also breakoff his arm). As for the NW corner, actually Fionas are one of the best classes to go there as long as you bring a small shield (counter spam).
Tip for Evies: right after the golems in phase 1 die, summon your golem before the cutscene starts and have it disappear. If you're too far from a wall when Colru starts charging up his black ball aoe, run as far away from him as possible and a bit before he fires the balls, summon your golem and use the f9 emote. Most of the balls will hit your golem though maybe 1 or 2 might get through. Sometimes your golem will get killed...depends on how many black balls hit it but you should be able to survive at least 1 round of the black ball aoe if you do it correctly. For this to work you need to be: far enough away from him, be relatively close to your golem, and have your golem in between you and Colru.

Well, a bit more practice. I'm starting to understand how to fight him.
My main problem with his fire ring is that if he decides to walk at you, you're taking a lot of damage. Him walking counts as a smash, which would break any counter chains you have going on with his fire. Also, when he's not only aggroing you, it's a pain to judge the location of the fire as he's walking around. My timing is still a bit off too.
I'm starting to just rush in when he starts doing the 3-5 punch combos, as it's very safe to start counter spamming during that gap. When he enters the phase where he just throws rocks half the time, I just run away. I still can't figure out the dodge timing on the rock (seems to be right before he throws it), so I perfer to just run around loading the catapults. That phase where he only smashes is another one I just run away during.
Got 21% damage today. But that was a 59 minute run with heavy GG usage. So it's not that impressive.

If you have a perfect connection maybe. Also, I wouldn't consider countering a ring of fire 'fun', especially when the hitbox for the fire doesn't match up with the animation half the time. The battle is a decent skill check if you know your role, however I think the cheapness of it ruins any fun that may be had.

I can see how lag is a problem here. I've noticed that I was getting lag in middle of his combo at times and being forced to stop using counter. I've also noticed that under ideal circumstances, you can HS all of his rolls in that phase. But most of the time I HS one, take 2-3 hits, and hope my armor is in tact so I can run off and pot.
Really I am using counter more for damage then stun, which is a first.

Usually when he starts the flame attack, I just stay away until it disappears. Also, it's because of the rolling attack and his other smash chains that I choose large over small.

Yeah I attempted my frist run of Colru this morning and I(an Evie) was paired with a large shield Fiona in the blacksmith(or whatever his name is) golem and we did relatively well. She would HS and draw aggro while I just kept using smash after smash until someone finally killed their golem in another room. We got it down to 2 bars of life in ours. I died 2 times in the little room due to lag, but otherwise it was a really good fight in the mini-rooms. For me, I think it's better for fiona's to be paired with evies. The green golem...not as evie friendly as everyone kept saying. I was paired with another evie in this room. Once my shields were down in that room he would use that fire circle and I was done for because I would flinch everytime I tried to run, and when I used mana amber he would trap me in a corner, use a smash to break the amber and I would die yet again. Fiona's make it so much easier to attack than having another evie in the room. I haven't been paired with a lann/karok yet so I'm not sure how they manage. But I had a pretty hard time in the main boss room, especially with his unblockables. That little jump that evie has isn't cutting it, and whenever he spams his lightning I'm usually not even close to a wall so I get killed with that. Or when we first discovered that 'hey, when u stand on the wall it won't come up.' almost the entire party was wiped out. I had 3 tries today to learn how to get out of the way/attack him without being killed, but it'll just take some time for me to get it.

You can dodge with a sprint + hop, but you need to hop before he throw the rock. IF you see him throwing then it's too late.
Trying to flying sparrow might save your life if you hopped a bit too early, but you still need to hop before he throw the rock. (The animation is delayed, the actual hit box is larger and arrives earlier than the animation.)
And yes, fiona and evie is better than duo evies in green room, due to fiona's ability to hold the green boss.
For lag in Colru and lagging, I don't know since I don't have a Fiona, but can't you just spam space bar? I see lagerowonder missed a few counter attack, but he still successfully blocked the damage.

That being said, I'm getting a little sick of the boss trend that is happening. All of the recent raids seem to have some element that specifically combats Fiona, and Fiona really doesn't have that easy of a time to begin with.
Which raids are you talking about? Lionotus seems made for Fiona, as they are the best class to lure him to the edge and Shield Bash is great for knocking him off. Controlled Black Hammer is a cinch for Fionas with large shields as well. And not that Shakarr is hard for any class, but it's certainly easy for Fiona, with a large or small shield. I actually find him easier on my Fiona, despite my Evie having quite a bit more attack power.

Im starting to get used to most of Colru's attack pattern (dodging, when to run, and when I can shock). My only beef is the mini boss in the beginning when you have member that die before hitting the 9hp bar, but lastnight I was able to get members that stormed through the miniboss (also like bottom left since I learned how to clash it 8D)
only thing that ticks me off is the fire aura while im transing, messes up my SP building combos :v

That fire aura is the bane of all characters. @_@

Yep, spamming space bar works perfectly fine. If you space it out right, guarding twice will almost always guarantee a counterattack on the second guard (maybe not a PG -> CA but a CA nonetheless), regardless of any rhythm changes. Worst thing that can happen by guarding twice is that the flame will be as delayed as possible and you'll block the hit but be unable to counterattack, but that's not much in the grand scheme of things.

Gotejjeken is just complaining for the sake of complaining. Fiona is the only character that can combat all of the golems competently (although fighting the bottom left golden one takes a large shield). I'm fairly certain that she can even fight the bottom right golem even with a small shield, since I got Colru to spam normals at me when he was in that mode.
And as you said, Lionotus and BH are cakewalks with Fiona. Lionotus is especially good on a Fiona since you can down him off the ledge with like, 4 rA+ shield bashes.

I'd love to see some vids of you guys doing blackhammer and colru with a fiona. Currently working on my fiona after I saw how well they do but my tactics need refinement.
