  It's actually really easy for a staff Evie to stay alive against the Stonemason. Clipped Wings works on all the golems, as well as mercury traps. As long as you aren't cornered as a staff Evie, his boxing punches should be easy to stay away from with hops and sparrow, and I would imagine his jumping attack gets screwed over by Amber since he'd knock it away too far.
  
  Also, nothing's stopping your party from making multiple campfires.

  I don't see why you'd need one for Blackhammer, honestly. Just bring a large shield and heavy stander before each attack hits. He has long, unique tells for each move and most of them only hit once or twice. There should be plenty of time between attacks for dealing some damage, and if you stay in his face, you'll build up SP pretty quickly as well.
  
  For Colru, I play it more defensively, attacking mostly when he is stunned. It's not easy for any melee character to approach him (aside from Karok perhaps). Again, blocking will build SP, but there are few openings to attack, unless he is facing away from you (at which point he is probably moving away faster than you can follow him with an attack). I like to bring a large shield here too, since Colru cycles through all the other golems' attack styles and two of them are really tough to deal with using a small shield.

  Yeah, the rolling itself is a hit, but if you're cornered either way you're screwed. Best bet in that scenario would be to hope you have enough SP to Shield Charge, or close to it. I haven't really gone through extensive testing on this, but I've noticed that a Shield Charge will flinch him out of his rolling; I've Shield Charged him 3 times when he's done that and each time he's flinched out. Could just be a coincidence though.
  
  Otherwise, you should always be conscious of spacing in that fight for pretty much any character considering how much the golems like to stick on people. Especially if you're using a small shield.
  
  Also, it's important to note that his boxing punches end in a smash, so unless you're up against a wall, you should be spaced out far enough that if he does start up his rollout, the startup roll shouldn't hit you in most cases.

  True enough. I just haven't been comfortable in Colru with my Small Shield def (6.6k), so I've been running Large Shield where you get cornered a lot (and usually are fine).

  Ah, yeah, my DEF is high even with a small shield so I can use it even if it is seemingly more risky.
  
  But more importantly than that, there hasn't been a raid where small shields have been viable since Klaus, so I feel like I'm letting down my Fiona if I don't use one for at least Colru. And actually I've been starting to use a small for Lionotus too just for kicks.

  At least Lionotus sort of spams his normal jabs, and half the time HS causes him to miss the first hit of his two hit combo. I might try Colru again with Small Shields later on if I manage to get at least 7000 Defense with one (still using the Knight Shield though).
  I do share the sadness of not having a reason to use Small Shields. They were so much fun. D:

  Which is really annoying. Most of the time he only attacks me when he's in Blacksmith mode (bottom left golem)... which, coincidentally, is the same time that most PUG people tend to die.

  I hate that part too, it's what makes keeping timing on the fire ring a complete pain to keep up.
  On the bright side, most of my deaths recently have been due to his unblockable and wall shenanigins. I'm still not happy with how I'm so slow to react to him picking up his rock though. I've been stuck tanking the NW room for an Evie most of the time though, which at least is very easy.

  This doesn't help me. With my Fiona's level and defense, the last hit you take would nearly (if not actually) kill me.
  
  I'd rather stick with a large shield, where at least if I start with a full stamina bar, I can avoid taking damage.

  The last hit could've been prevented, because first off, it's a deathroll. And after the second jump, there was enough time to get out of the corner, I just didn't go for it. It's also good to know that the first 3 jumps of that attack are the only ones that move him forward. So if you dodge the first three the rest won't hit.
  
  Also I really don't see how a large shield is any good at all in that fight unless there's a second Fiona in there with you. Because if you're just turtling you'll be turtling for a long time considering how much the golems like to stick, which would basically turn your room into 1 person doing damage. Hell, if the other person is a large shield Fiona that'll still just be 1 person doing damage most of the time.
