What's the best Scythe currently out right now? Is it the Scythe of Caress?

I still say it's the Rakrak, I think you can land more hits and has more DPS then any other scythe due to the insane attack speed.

Raider's has the highest raw DPS numbers despite its low BAL.
But yes, Rakrak is also good since it has that 9 base speed which is really important for a scythe Evie.
Either or is fine if you ask me.

follow up question: Does enhance your weapon also enhance the attack speed?

Yes it does. It'll start to raise the speed at +6. You can check VindictusDB for each enhancement level.

Awesome! This couple with Evie's SP ability can really make a substantial difference in attack speed!

Rakrak is nice and a with +9 attack speed but I'll be making my scythe +10 so, attack speed will be increased either way.
So taking that in to account is Rakrak still the best Scythe for me?

Lionoteeth gives +9 Speed too.
It has almost 600 more MATT and 1 more Crit than Rakrak, but has 14 less Balance.

owo Ohh Lion sounds like a contender now, any others? Is Scythe of Caress too slow or something?

Actually if you can land the smash, slow Scythe is better than faster ones, but some bosses are just too fast for a complete smash even if you slash air for the first 3 attacks.
And I wouldn't go for Lion. The point of + speed is consistent damage. And less balance pretty much is against consistent damage. I wouldn't get something that have contradictory stats.

9 attack speed is still 9 attack speed no matter how much more you add to it or its competitor. It's essentially 4.5% less swing time on everything. When it takes like 3.5 seconds to get to Invisible Loom, every little bit helps.
I would still go for Rakrak, because one of my guildies with a +13 Braid Tassel Scythe still has a hard time with the ep 9 raids despite his 41 or w/e it was attack speed.
As for Lionoteeth, personally I would go for it just because it looks cool.

Pretty sure everyone else said enhance weapon does increase speed buff.

I thought you meant enhancement doesn't effect attack speed.

I think they meant that given the same enhancement level, the Rakrak Claw will still have that 9 attack speed difference over many other scythes.
