I like to have Google as my default search. Every time I turn my computer back on, I launch google chrome and when I try to search something in my site bar thingy that I forgot the name of, it's back to Yahoo. I have already tried setting default back, and deleting it out of my choices completely but it won't work. It's pretty annoying.

I'm at school right now, so I cannot check from here.
But I will as soon as I get home! If people could post other possibilities and not take this problem as solved, it would be awesome.

I used Window 7. Professional, pretty sure.
Regardless, I have to set it back to Google all the time. Not only that, but I also delete it as a default search engine when I click on option to manage them. Just does it again, anyways.

maybe there are cookies hijacking your search engine
Download this:

Okay, this is getting really annoying. I did a full system scan with Avast. Everything was clean.

If you go to this page, click Manage Search Engines and see if Yahoo is on there under the Default Search Engines. Hover over Google and click Make Default if it isn't bolded with (Default).
Usually when you download something with the toolbar included whether you want it or not, it sometimes just automatically makes it your default search engine if it didn't provide you with a option to make it default or not.

Not on my Chrome, I don't.
Only extensions I have are AvastWebRep and AdBlock.
