  This is a Full Dive Virtual world. The controls is your Body and mind only. Unlike games in our time period where the controls from one game to another change easily. There is barely no change inbetwen Full Dive Virtual World. Kirito lived for 2 years in SAO Fighting nearly all of the time with barely any hour of sleep per day. His ability to fight is based on him knowing how to move his body and this doesn't change much in ALO (except he needed to learn how to fly) That's why he's a god in ALO, cause he got previous experience at been a god in SAO.

  actually that's false information. Both in the anime and the light novel, they clearly indicated that in ALO, skills level only permit you to use higher level equipment, individual strengh and such doesn't change much inbetwen a newb and an high level. ALO rely heavily on Player Skill. So if you got Godly combat abilities, even if you resently joined ALO you could beat someone who's been there for many years if they don't have that strong of a combat ability. Through some people think that it's possible that there is a mistake in the system through.
  
  the Theory is that since ALO and SAO use nearly the same system at it's base, Kirito might have broken the system a little... players in ALO don't gain STR and Dex when they level up or don't level up at all to begin with. So their base STR and DEX don't change. Kirito's acount comes from SAO which players raised their STR(damage) and DEX(Speed) with each level. It's possible that those stats transfered over to ALO, making him a OP broken character and let him to move much faster than normal ALO players who never could raise their DEX stat

That would either have to be his stats being higher than normal or actual damage being calculated differently.
  
  Regardless though, the main point is that Kirito abuses the fuck out of his plot armor in some way to bring him up to speed with his competition.

  in SAO and ALO, armor is mostly Graphical.. it doesn't have bounce off effect. So you cut through armor like buter. To actually block off a Cut style weapon, you need a Shield item.
  But yea.. ALO is VERY player skill oriented. Even high end armor isn't all that stronger than newby armor.

  This basically establishes that there should be a significant difference between newbie clothing and advanced armor, which only proves even further how OP Kirito is. As for how his skills affected his damage in ALO, I'm referring to this page here that I'm assuming lists everyone's skill levels by the end of SAO.
  
  Well I'm probably wrong here, but it's likely that his sprint skill could have also had an effect on his speed. While it states in the novel that your speed is determined by your reaction speed, I'm under the impression that his older SAO skills are also having an effect on him. For example, when he had the feeling that he and Lyfa were being followed on their way to Ruger Corridor. Though I highly doubt this particular author would plan that in-depth.[/SPOILER]
  
  Aside from all that, I think we can both agree that Kirito is generally overpowered because his Plot Armor randomly generates some asspull reason for him to be OP.
