Northwest Arkansas native and popular reality TV mom Michelle Duggar miscarried in the second trimester of the pregnancy of her 20th child, according to a report from People magazine.
The magazine reports Michelle, 45, along with husband Jim Bob, went for a routine check-up on Thursday to find out the gender of their child and the doctor could not find a heartbeat.
According to People, the family plans to name the child after they find out the gender and hold a funeral service. Nothing about the miscarriage has been shared on the family’s blog or Twitter page.
This is Michelle’s second miscarriage. Michelle says that's when she and her husband decided to stop using birth control and leave the number of children they have "up to God."
The 19 Kids and Counting mom gave birth to her youngest daughter, Josie, in 2009.

Sad but still...it's a sign.

I think she should consider adoption if she wants another child. I know I am :T

19 children is sure a lot of children...
I guess she is considered lucky that people know about her miscarriage all over the internet. Most women who get miscarriages go by unnoticed on the internet.

Can't tell if sarcasm, a fetus is not a child, especially one in the second trimester where neural activity is not at the point to be called conscious thought.

You shouldn't be having children at 45 anyway.

I really think they're just doing it for publicity nowadays.

Having that many kids really takes a toll on the mother, and her bones are probably going to get really brittle really soon. At least they have a TV show to fund most if not all of their expenses.

Losing a fetus is just as ****ty as losing a child. You obviously have no idea of the emotional toll that takes on someone.
Anyway, this is sad.
She has
so many kids. I don't know how they do it.

I stopped reading when I saw the husband's name was "Jim Bob". You only see that in cartoons.

They pointedly weren't using protection.
BUT I GUESS GOD SPOKE TO THEM, HUH.

Oh god... that's dark. I teared up a little when I read that and couldn't finish reading the story.
But it's kind of funny that she has 19 kids. Oh, these people.
Somehow I think she'll survive.

This, too.
