Would help to know what you plan to do with it and what kind of power supply you're working with. Also, does your motherboard have any pci x16 slots?

I don't know what any of that means.

Find your actual specs rather than go by that screenshot above. If you bought it as a prebuilt set from a company see if they have a page which lists everything. Without knowing your hardware specs we can't really give you a recommendation due to hardware requirements/limitations.

No idea how to do any of that

What's the manufacturer/model? It's probably displayed prominently somewhere on the case.
Or even saying if it's store-bought or not and how much you paid for it will give us a pretty good idea.

It's store bought from 2007 or 2006 and the manufacturer is on the screenshot.

Maybe ask your parents or whoever bought your system for you for a hand.

I think so, I should also mention I'm unable to update the drivers at all because it keeps saying please go to your manufacturers website for the correct update.(which I obviously did)

Well the good news is that your mobo has a PCI-E x16 slot. The bad news is that I still don't know your PSU specs nor what version your PCI-E slot is.
However, looking over the various specs HP does supply the public with I think you're better off getting a new system rather than just buying a GPU. At this point I think buying a GPU would just be throwing away money.

Ah well can't afford a new computer right now so I guess I'm stuck only being able to play 3 games at minimum settings.

You could try taking it to somebody that knows what they are doing.
Although it should be possible to add a card to it, if you know so little about computers you're more likely to do serious damage to it trying to force one in without knowing what's what.
I wouldn't bother either though. That make and model of computer is not meant to have any kind of performance at all, it is intended for people who do nothing more than check their email and talk to friends on facebook.

In which case could someone recommend a good gaming PC?
