Shakarr and spamming Ivy Sweep for 3 minutes and 43 seconds via spin2win methodology.
Ah-yup.

Mind posting the stats? I'm only reaching 38 with a +12 Enhanced Maelstrom.
I could probably get close if I swapped out my 5 Strongs for 5 Significants and my Maelstrom for a Valor, but I'm curious on how you did it.

Ah, Leopard. I forgot about that.
I refuse to get one since it hits my attack too much. Need every last bit of damage I can get on Swords. ;-;

Well, one day I was dicking around with enchants because Brynn's a dick. So I gave him a Silence and a 0 BR'd Leopard and he passed it. 'cause he's a dick.
Then from that moment on I wanted a serious super speed weapon so I went for a Leopard DWLS. I regret nothing since if I want ATT, I have my hammer.
Like, I don't think I can enjoy a <40 speed sword anymore.

That's Brynn for you. I gave him an Ivory and a DP, and it worked.
I've sort of been tempted to have a balanced/power weapon and a speed weapon. But it's really too much effort just for a minor change in playstyle. Especially if it involves getting another +12 DWLS to Leopard/Valor.

You know, sword isn't as *bad* as I thought it was if you spam Ivy Sweep in trans.
I was just in a power-house Colru run, with a +11 Ornate/Mael BH Hammiona, +13 BH Hammiona, +13 Bloodletters w/58 speed and like 54 crit (or something else ridiculous) Lann, 15k (49 friggin speed) Teten staff Evie, 13k staff Evie, 13k hammer Fiona and a +12 DWLS Fiona.
Colru died in 2 minutes (derp) since we all transed at the start and yet I managed 10% damage at 6th place (#1 did 19%). 2nd place got ~18% damage or so. That's honestly not all that bad all things considered.

I usually get similar showings, though I'm noticing I'm managing to do better then a lot of Staff Evies and other Fionas in the 13k+ attack boats I join.
Though I do wonder if Ivy Sweep spam is the most efficient or not. I only resort to it when Colru enters his fire ring mode, so I have more frames where I can't be stunned by his fire. Otherwise I usually spam Amaranth and Petal Toss instead.

I figure that Ivy Sweep takes the same amount of time to do as an Amaranth Kick, so it's most certainly stronger than that due to percentiles and 3 chances of crits (although critting the shield part is eh). LR is OK damage-wise, but nets you almost no SP. Blossom Blow just sucks other than the first hit so I don't bother with that.
Since you won't be whiffing the sword slices in trans, you're not really spending more time building up to Ivy Sweep over the quick burst of LR since there's no hit-delay (slices 2 & 3 do almost half the damage of Petal Toss #1). And since Ivy Sweep normally takes awhile to pull off, the decrease in execution time for a full sweep is a much more significant drop than it is for LR.
I think I did number crunching awhile back for like a 0 speed sword, and LR is the highest DPS option there over Ammy and Ivy due to the slow speeds of the latter two. But apparently with 40+ speed, Ammy and Ivy start to get much better (with 41 speed you can only do 2 LRs in the time of an Ammy, but Ammy is still stronger). So if you're not in trans I think Ammy is best DPS-wise if you have medium-high speeds. Hit delay kinda ruins Ivy Sweep.

Interesting. I still keep away from Ivy Sweep as I like my mobility in a lot of the larger raids. Especially against bosses like Glas who you want to be able to move at any moment if he starts his grab. Still, it's nice to hear that Ivy Sweep does have a potential use.

Oh, I also forgot to mention that the key to what made Slashing High Sweep spam possible is that you get 3 chances of crits for more SP gain. Although DWLS isn't exactly high in terms of crits, if you have 1200+ base WIL, added on with the 1500 from trans, you'll have ~96.2 crit (barring Crit boosting scrolls). Most raid bosses have around 55 crit resist, so you're still left with around 41.2 crit. So in a given Ivy Sweep, there's only roughly a 20.33% chance of not landing a single crit. If I'm doing this right, that ends up being around a 37.3% overall damage boost to your sweeps from crits.
Mmm, numbers.

Ah, crit chances. I really need to learn more about the whole crit system in general.
I personally don't like Slashing High with Swords as the damage dealt over the course of Slashing High is something that I feel ends up losing to the easier to use and almost as damaging Shield Charge. Those invincibility frames are just too useful. ;-;

Well, it takes about 2.5 Ivy Sweeps to make up for the damage of a Shield Charge.
I can do about 5 sweeps in one Slashing High, so then the question is, can I do more damage with ~13 seconds of non-SH than I can in ~7 seconds of SH? I think you can't necessarily going wrong with either, depending on the boss and if you have Conviction still.
It's a hard question though since there's also the fact that SH uses one less bar of SP. Certainly if you have less speed though, Shield Charge is the clear option.
