  You're wrong, Kai's dodge does take Stamina >_> I speak from personal experience, I don't know about being invincible while dodging, I don't think that is true, just speculation, I swear that I was hit while I was dodging normals mobs at one point, but I will say this, his dodge is VERY good, second to Lann's, excluding Evie's mana amber also, but this is only true if he doesn't have invincibility.

  EDIT: ALSO, don't believe that Kai will replace Lann's, they do a good job presenting him, but you will find his actually gameplay very.. cheesy, in fact I was a super fanboy but after playing him, it was more meh, but as you learn the new skills, it becomes a bit more fun.

  30 stam, No invince, and they made it an attack which slows you down if it hits anything

  Also, I do agree that Lanns need a better dodge. It already feels like all of the other characters have a better dodge than Lann, even Fiona, since I was able to roll underneath so many attacks. Sword lanns are just like "Lets spread my arms AND legs while dodging. Might as well not move a long distance." Spear lanns are like "gotta make my jumps very wide, but not far... ugh, I'm tired..." Kai, on the other hand, is like "No touchy!"
  
  I get the feeling that almost every Lann player will switch their main to Kai. More range, better dodges, stronger attacks, what more can you ask for?

  If you don't like Lann and consider other characters better, make the other characters.
  
  I'm switching (very gradually) from Staff Evie to Spear Lann, because, despite what everyone says, I love his DPS, especially while defense stacked. I consider Hammer Fiona "better" overall, but Spear Lanns are in a damage range of their own.
  
  However, they're not for everyone. At this point, they're almost exclusively for endgame and won't do too well with 12K attack and 6K defense, or at least that's my understanding of it. Maybe they'll do alright with that.

  There are really only two models for the Guardian set.
  
  Karok's is just an upsized version of Lann's/Kai's. Not edited too much from what I can tell.
  Evie's and Fiona's are identical.
  
  Ep9.5 sets are a very similar story as well.
