If it can easily be taken out of context, I'll stop. But I never really thought someone would assume I was calling them a whore because of it. lmao.

But you can read the forums without actually posting.
I am afraid to post in that heavily spammed forum there full of trolls and/or idiots.
You don't need to post on the forums to update the main site with a "We are aware of a problem as are taking measures" thing. I don't think anyone can argue that Nexon is particularly good at communication.

Seeing how many threads turn into "WELL YOU'RE WRONG ABOUT ELF STATS BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE THE COLOR OF YOUR SOCKS SO I DON'T NEED TO BOTHER READING YOUR POSTS ANYMORE" and get locked, I have to disagree.

First day of the year and the servers aren't up lol First day of the year and we're rolling back... to last year. It's funny xD Though I'm glad nexon did this, it's exactly what I wanted them to do. I wonder if they will rollback a couple days to get peoples stuff back or if they will rollback to when the AP codes were given out because they realized those were a bad idea. (not that I'm complaining, 2000+ free AP is nice) I also wonder what they will do about the hackers? Probably not much, maybe ban a few accounts at most but they'd be back. Can't fix the hacks permanently without recreating the game either lol

Now now, let's all not yell at each other and prove the useless accusations right.
/dejosa, speaking of which he's parading his nonsense around the official forums (MAKE SURE YOU STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLE WITH FLASHY PURPLE HEBONAS!)
Also, I doubt a rollback would even go so far as a week. Probably to when the item-deleting madness first started, which is early Friday/late Thursday, I believe? Seeing as how people actually have corrupted character data, that'll most likely be Nexon's priority.
All we can do is sit and wait (and watch football.)

If I was an employee at Nexon and I saw the amount of trolling and stupidity on the forums I'd be hesitant to post myself. I really feel bad for the staff. We give them hell and very little appreciation for all the work they try to do right. Then you have to deal with a terrible community hacking and tearing your game to shreds.
This.
To the people that continue to rail on Nexon, have some sympathy.

I'm sorry to hear it. It's not as if people lost their egos and entire characters as-well, though, right?
My lawd, so selfish.
And this.
To the people who are complaining of losing some items/experience, would it kill you to sacrifice those things so that people can get their characters back?

[QUOTE=Peter;716752]This.
The thing is, pake was never fixed, Nexon really needs to own up for treating their loyal customers with such disregard. I don't understand completely how everything works there. But you have a good customer base and making money yet continue to neglect the hackers, neglect the hot keys, neglect the friends list. that's bad business. Although mabi is free to play a lot of people spend their money on the game. You surely don't think they would just run a free game for lulz do you? It's a business, just like any other you need to make sure your business is safe and secure. If they keep it up I doubt there'll be many more people that want to even spend money on the game anymore which will cause it to collapse.
I understand where you're coming from about the sympathy, I'm sure they're not individually responsible for it. Someone is to blame though, someone isn't doing a very good job. You can clearly see it by how poorly maintained this game has been in the 2 years I've been playing. it's only seemed to get worse. Also the disrespectful remarks and such to nexon employees is just childish. They do deserve some of my sympathy for having to deal with the likes on the main mabi forums.
Oh, and to your last remark. The thing is, mabinogi has a responsibility as a business to keep their customers happy. No one person is more important than another, so why should anyone have to sacrifice anything? I'm sure we'll get some sort of compensation or something. But the point is this is becoming a routine, this isn't the first rollback and I don't think they'll be stopping anytime soon unless nexon pulls off a miracle. People who spend their money on the game are not happy about their hours of time spent and money wasted. Just as the people who were blackrobed are. I think they should do individual roll backs to the point of file corruption or no more than 2 days. I just hope I still have my ice dragon card and reimbursed for my character card that I bought. Whatever they do they need to leave it offline till it's COMPLETELY fixed.

I don't think anyone here completely understands how things work there. I just want people to understand that it takes more than Nexon's willingness to address an issue to actually solve it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the game is coded/developed overseas, which means that Nexon may not have all the tools needed and must rely on the original makers to fix issues.
In regards to the characters/items: Sure, of course if there were such a thing as an individual rollback, by all means find every single player whose lost something and do it. I don't there's such thing though... you understand there isn't much of a choice here.

Ah so basically how it really works is they hired a bunch of people who don't even have any purpose? They should be in the game then! My point is this issue should have been resolved by nexon KR, devcat, whoever you say actually does anything, instead of letting the problem continue to go on to where it not only happened once but twice! As far as the first part of this comment I was being sarcastic, I'm not going to go into a blind rage over a game. but as Cynic would say the "jist" of it is basically what you said. About them not being able to resolve issues on their own.
Anyways, don't get me wrong, I feel kinda bad for them being helpless and having everyone rage at them. This game is awesome, which is the only reason I'm still around. There's no way I'd put up with this on another game.
If the situation is as you explained it, then I'm sure KR is to blame, they should stop being cheap and send some people who know how the game works so we can enjoy this one of kind game.

Y blame KR if there could be some of them here that could be trying there best to help out? I mean, i'd help the ppl in mabi if they lost there items and stuff, but wat i'm not sure is if mabi could take it bak just when chara's got deleted by the hackers or when they lost there items. Like really, y hack if they could just at least try their best to get there own stuff. To me it's bs tht the hackers shouldn't hack other mabi chara's tht worked there hard on there stuff.

I honestly don't see anything being done really about the hackers/dupers. I'm sure within hours of the game being up, they'll slide right back in and start wrecking everything. The last incident was 2 months ago, I wonder how long before it gets out of hand again. I hope something is done, but I'm not holding my breath.
