  Like i said before. My account was deleted and I'm using them to re-get my time back so to speak. I misworded it.
  what i meant was that i was used to playing without pets for 3 months before they even came out. I have to think more before i word my responses.

  And I use NX to speed the process up. Not assist in the actual process.
  
  Oh and i spent an hour for surveys (around 3-4) got 0 nx.
  Free surveys are iffy for me since i always put valid info in it.
  
  My type of combat is something i am 100% in control.
  This is why i refrain from using archery.

  I can understand that archery has an element of luck (although there are plenty of ways to get 99% magnums), but how do you lack 100% control over pets?

  Left-Hand
  Ctrl-targeting, Pet summon (Shift/Ctrl/Alt + Z/X/R/Space), Pet Call (Shift+Q), Pet Sit (Ctrl+Q), Pet Actions (Shift + F1-F9), and ALL mouse clicking during combat
  
  Right-Hand
  Skills (Staple F1-F12, Special 1-9), potions ( [-] / [=] / [k] / shift + [=] ) and mouse movement, and camera panning
  
  The big plus to using a touch pad is that you can have your left hand hold down Ctrl (to stay locked on target at all times), load skills with your right hand, and click to attack with your left thumb. It feels really natural to me, yet lots of people don't get how I can play on a laptop without an external mouse.

  Without getting into a debate about legitimacy, nobody I know holds a candle to Remove for accomplishments with legit play. A rank 1 enchanting, 300 dex Giant with maxed strength and more, seriously? And yet, what makes him great is that all those skills are put to use for helping others with their goals, first and foremost. There is no better asset to friend or guild and I'm proud to have him on my side. He'd probably kill me for posting this but the big guy deserves a nod :)

  I've never been interested in advanced pet play largely because I don't have 12 throughbreds and don't spam wm. If you meet those conditions then it'll really give you a boost, but if you use other methods to fight then pet play is nowhere near as valuable. It's application is virtually the same though so any pet play skills you have will still transfer over.
  
  That being said, I don't recall seeing anyone extraordinary as of late. That's likely due to the only time I'm in combat with others is during some routine shadow mission or g9/g10 mainstream quests. There hasn't really been an opportunity for someone to show off their skills.

  Fwiw herb gnus work nearly just as well as thoroughbreds in cqc and tend to be my go-to pet because they make funny noises.

  My key F1-5 and F7-12 don't work. I put one skill on F6, the rest of the skills on 1-9, and pets on unused keyboard spaces. (So far, I did D, U, L, semicolon, [, and Y. When i run out I can use the least important default hotkeys like Q.) Then spaces for pet sit (Ctrl-]), pet call (`), pet inventory (Shift-I), unsummon (0), and then put stuff on the F1-f12 keys anyway because I can click on them, and the lack of speed is fine for some of the less-needed and non-immediate skills.
  
  I just use my right hand to cover the right half, left hand to cover the left half, and right hand to click also. (Touchpad ftw) It's a really inefficient method now that I think of it, but it works
