  EDIT: I remember spamming the Cleric class in D&D: Shadows of Mystara since I could self-heal and save a chunk of credits/quarters. They're awesome, jack-of-all-trades.

  First of all, is an encounter like finding a mob and fighting it, or does it mean the whole session?
  
  Secondly, I made my character at level 1. Is that good for what we're gonna do? If I don't play with you guys on nation, I probably won't play.
  
  Third, am I able to learn more powers than the ones I choose to start with? If I learn more powers, do I get to take them all with me, or may I only select a few active ones for use at a time, and the other ones are restricted until a checkpoint/whatever?
  
  Fourth, I'm most interested in a cleric (though, after re-reading the thread, if there are too many clerics, I can do something else) and I'm a bit confused at the Channel Divinity feature. How does that exactly work? There are different versions of it, do I have to choose from the already established versions? From the description, it makes it sound like I can customize one.

  At every level you get new powers, and you get to keep them all. No checkpoints or anything.

  At level 1 the only two Channel Divinity skills you get are Turn Undead or Healer's mercy, the first two powers it asks you to choose between in the character builder. Channel Divinity also lets you choose Feats based on your race/chosen god that others dont have to choose from.

  I see. Thank you for answering. So, if I have multiple channeling associated feats, do they all activate when I channel? Or is only one used at a given time?

  Just one. You can only use one at a time.

  I've never heard of that. I looked it up but I can't tell what it is from the descriptions. It sounds like its just a book of sample characters for people who don't want to make their own..?

  To make it as balanced as possible I'll say that we go with Array, now I'm assuming thats the one where you spend points on the stats like in more modern RPG's. If thats not Array then whatever that is called!
  
  As I write this I realize I don't really know it but can easily find out by checking the books infront of me... I'm not doing that! :whoops:
