Katawa Shoujo First Impressions + Introduction Thread

  It is a great story, and the work that went behind it is impressive. It proves that no matter what, if you get a group of dedicated people together working on a clear (or at least, a good) idea that everyone is into you can do anything.
  
  It is very impressive, and makes me want to apply myself even more to becoming a game developer. I believe that someday im going to make something that will bring out the emotions that Katawa brought out for me. A game that has a great story, is fun to play, and will make you laugh and cry throughout.
  
  I already have lots of ideas that ive been writing down ever since i wanted to be a game developer in the 8th grade or so, but none of them seem good anymore. All of them feel like I haven't put the work i need to make one of them into something great.
  
  Im going to start writing again.

  Haven't managed to put this VN down since yesterday morning.
  
  And I'm still only on the second act with Emi. I'm reading into the context way too much. @_@
  
  UPDATE #1: Finished Emi's path. Very heartfelt conflict and resolution. Enjoyed it thoroughly (I came away pleasantly with some new insight), except a little here and there details that don't make sense.
  
  UPDATE #2: Finished, uh... the lonely path. It actually had some seriousness and depth going on, behind the humor.

  Yeeee, Meeko doesn't like the girls. But this is a nice game, her story make me qq a bit though so sad.

  started playing this game because of this thread and now i cant stop. so far i've played emi and rin's paths and rins is the saddest at this point :gloom:

  I think there is more updated one on the katawa forums. I think v2.6 or something. Still not looking at the ones for paths i haven't finished yet or for act 1.
  
  Also, hanako or lilly? Ive done all but theirs, cant decide which to do first though im thinking hanako. Either way it looks to be a good story, so im not too worried.

  I'm not a big fan of dating games, but the message the game is trying to get across is really nice and touching.

  Never played an H-game before. I guess I'll give this one a shot and see what it's like. I wonder which girl will be my favorite personality.
  
  So far I really like Misha. She seems like a light hearted type of person with a good sense of humor. Not sure what to think of the class representative though.
  
  Is there anyway to save in this game at any point or are there specific save points?

  Try right clicking until you get a menu, should only be one click.
  
  And i decided to wait a day inbetween doing the stories. Rins path is taking 2 days because of how good it was.
  
  The writing is very good, the story and characters are all well written
