oh god I haven't posted in a while, this could be long.
I'll recount from Friday onwards.
Good Friday:
High: Got out of school at 11:30! I FINALLY got to talk to my history teacher for more than 5 minutes (it ended up being 40), and we had a great time, chatting about this and that...
Low: ...but this didn't happen until I nearly killed her, because she had a pinched nerve in her neck and I accidentally snuck up behind her (she knew I was there @_@) and she whirled around and was screeching in pain (and I had no idea what was going on and we were shouting back and forth at each other in the hallway like this:
Me: OH GOD I AM SO SORRY OH GOD OH WHAT HAPPENED OH GOD I'M SO SORRY THIS IS ALL MY FAULT OH GOD ARE YOU OKAY
Her: NO CLAUDIA IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT IT'S MY FAULT I KNEW YOU WERE THERE BUT IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT IT'S MY FAULT)
But it was all good and we were laughing afterwards.
Saturday:
High: Helped my mom plant a garden for 6 hours. We designed our own planter and planted new flowers everywhere.
:skip:
Low: Our backs hurt like holy hell afterwards.
Sunday:
High: Had a lovely Easter with my family, colored eggs, egg hunt, all that good stuff, did more gardening with my mom/
Low: We had back pain again. S'all good.
Monday:
High: Uhh. My day wasn't too bad.
Low: Had a rather nasty encounter with a WASPy snot in my biology class, and he made me cry. I ranted about it to my history teacher so that's okay.
Yesterday:
High: Pretty much nothing.
Low: Hoo boy. We had our rat practical in biology, and I studied really, really hard for it. I haven't been doing well on the tests but I was decently confident that I would do okay, and was honestly hoping for a C or something like that.
Got a 58. Failed by ONE POINT, GUYS! I did well on the things I had studied but there were some questions that just came out of left field.
And she was grading them all right there and she asked me to time the stations, and I had to listen to her grade everyone's tests and listen to my horrible classmates complain about how they ONLY got a 93 or how they lost only ONE point and how they studied soooooooo hard when in reality they were asking their friends what pin #2 was. It just made me so angry and my eyes filled with tears maybe a dozen or so times during the course of the class while I watched everyone else compare their A's to each other. And then, at the end of class my teacher gave me a hug and told me it was okay and that i'd do better on the next one, and she told me that she talked to the anatomy teacher about me and how much I was looking forward to the class and that just made it worse, so I stomped away to history and just lost it and sobbed my eyes out and ended up missing like 25 minutes because I was just crying in the hallway and screaming to my friend about how much I hated the people in my biology class (and one of them walked by and just kinda stared at me).
But then I got a fabulous pep talk from my history teacher (including a tactful f-bomb and some incredibly motivational stories), strolled back into class in the middle of an activity and I just owned it.
Today:
High: No homework due, vacation next week!
Low: Nothing.

high: I had a lot of fun at work today and am finally warming up to a co-worker I previously got frustrated with
low: weirdest and most aggravating customer experience so far..
a customer comes in with an over half-eaten cookie cake slice and complains it's under cooked, which it is because we've been having problems with our cookies not baking thoroughly, especially with our cookie cakes. she asks for another one and I get it for her but she inspects it by touching it with her bare hands, folding it over, and says she doesn't want that one either
WELL NOW I CAN'T SELL IT NOW, there goes $3.99 for the company
she wants a specialty cookie instead which is made out of the same exact product as our cookie cake slices, so odds are if the cookie cake slice is under cooked, our specialty cookies will be too. I get the lady her cookie and I ask my co-worker Rebecca what I should do because the customer wants the cookie for free since her first cookie cake slice wasn't cooked thoroughly, though she conveniently ate over half of the cookie cake slice before realizing this
Rebecca takes a little to think about it because after 3 years of working at the cookie store she's never experienced this before. Rebecca's about to approach the customer to tell her she has to pay for the cookie and the lady just goes "thank you" while eating her cookie and walks off
and there goes another $2.99
Rebecca and I are so dumbfounded we just stand there while she leaves.. and that's pissed me off almost the entire day. the shitty customer works in the mall too so I'll probably see her again sooner or later -_-

You know what? It's about time we bring this back.
Some notable things in the past month:
High:
- Asked to senior prom by a guy that I like - as friends, which is absolutely fine with me! So excited.
- Became Deputy Commander of JROTC, taking over as Commander in the winter. c:
- Won an award for "Dedication in Foreign Language," which sounds kind of lame but I beat out the whole 11th grade for it. And yes, I am dedicated to foreign language, and I love it.
- Had an amazing interview for a summer job at the local swimming hole - gonna find out soon!
- Took my SAT I on May 5th. I think I did very well! I'm hoping for at least a 1700. It was nerve-wracking, but now I feel like I can handle everything, haha.
- Asked for and was granted college recommendation letters from my two favorite(st) teachers.
- Visited my dream college, and loved it. c: (so excited!)
- Got a 100 on a major English test, and as of right now all my grades are B+ or higher.
- My biology teacher helped me break the ice with my anatomy teacher next year, so it's not going to be so scary next year.
- Got to throw a wonderful little bridal party for my history teacher (and she got married a few weeks ago c:)
- I've busted my ass all year and school is almost over.
Low:
- Had some other job interviews, no callbacks. Oh well.
- Epically failed an English test (got a 37, whoo! But I got a 100 on the next one so c:)
- Massively failed my rat practical in Biology (as detailed two posts above), which led to the mother of all royal meltdowns in history the period after, (with some beautiful motivation courtesy of everyone's favorite history teacher.)
...o and I got a 94 on the last test.
- My dad had hernia surgery the same day as the bridal party, which was stressful and tough, but he's back to work now! I did get to see him a lot during his 2 weeks of bed rest so we had some real bonding time, so all clouds have silver linings.
ANYWAYS!
Today;
High -
Today John (Commander) and I got to do our first work as Commanders! We're working on hand-picking staff for next year and it's exciting. At first I was worried, but John and I make a great team.
Skipped out on biology to attend a lecture about counterterrorism in Afghanistan! It was fascinating.
Literally did nothing in the rest of my classes. Summer is coming!
Had my job interview at the summer place - knocked it out of the park!
Low -
Too tired to do the homework I have left. Early-onset senioritis is setting in.

Low: I had to carry it home from the pet store, my arms are like, actually dead. I'm so weak. ;_______;

Not much homework!
We started the Vietnam War in history, interesting stuff.
Tomorrow is the awards ceremony! Super-excited (I haven't told my parents about my new ROTC job, so they're going to find out on Thursday).
Low -
We only get 1 day to cover the Vietnam War. Umm.
We've been marching our asses off in ROTC and it's so zzzzzzzz because I can march but SOME PEOPLE don't know left from right so we get yelled at. u_u

HI DOUBLE-POSTING BECAUSE WHY DO YOU ALL NEGLECT THE BEST THREAD EVER.
Yesterday;

1. AWARDS CEREMONY. Even though there was lots of typical last-minute scrambling, the event went well, which was a relief to John and I. We've been at this job for like, 4 days.
And I won awards, of course! I got an Outstanding Cadet ribbon, a pin for Academic Excellence, and the Daedalian Award. I was like holyshit@the Daedalian, because it came with a check for $100. And by the end of the night, my mom was crying and hugging me wildly and I felt so warm and fuzzy inside.
2. PROM SHIT. I made my history teacher miss her cafeteria duty (oh no boo hoo giving up your free time, that sounds like a bummer to miss out on that!) because I got some very quality prom advice from her. I feel a lot better about prom now (plus, she's chaperoning so s'all good).
Low: ???
Today;
High:
Senior skip day + junior prom = just about nobody in the building. Thank goodnesh.
Got to hang with Gender Studies class today while I was studying for my biology quizzes that I did pretty well on.
Low:
That end-of-school paranoia and reality is starting to set in. I feel like i'm scrambling and trying desperately to hold on to what's left of the school year.

Posting this for what happened yesterday, since nothing happened today. (Actually a lot happened, but I still need to reflect on it.)
High: I checked my grades and did so far better than I ever expected.
Low: I've been feeling really down for no reason at all. Not even sad, just sort of emotionless.
Also, Claudia, it seems like the last few days have been rather eventful for you. If you would have to rate it according to the visible spectrum (red to violet), what would you rate it?

Gee, busy isn't even the word, though oddly enough I feel a lot calmer overall, probably because it's almost summertime. But i'm generally always running from place to place and there's always something on my mind.
So I guess crimson with the slightest tinge of purple?

Here is my typical day, because it's summer:
Maybe somewhere between 4 am or noon - wake up if I feel like it
Lie in bed for about 15 minutes thinking about my dreams
4:30 or something like that - eat breakfast, get on computer right after
Dealing with minor crises the rest of the day till everyone is satisfied that they have bothered me sufficiently.
Anywhere from 8 to 12:30am - go to sleep, wake up 30 minutes later for a snack, go back to sleep.
