I've had Valencia's Armour for a while now, and I really like it, BUT the repair cost is murder. I also really like the Passive Defense and also the look of it (though I always wear under the robe for dura protection TAT).
Lately, I've been thinking of selling it for another heavy armour because the repairs are really expensive...I looked around on the wiki and found that Tioz has a significantly lower repair cost, but doesn't have my PD. :/ Which can be dealt with. It also has the same Def and Prot as my Valencia's.
I have heard that Tioz is a bad way to go so I wanted some suggestions before I did anything...
So please help or give me other suggestions~ ;A;
Thank you~!

I don't think keeping a robe over armor does anything in terms of dura..

What's your budget, and do you focus on defense or on offense?

Budget is small, small. ._. I only have average of 200k on me at all times. But I haven't been playing much so...;A;
Uhm, Ionno, but I do get hit a lot...? =A=;;

Ehh... if you do use a robe, then just buy Light Melka. Upgrade it and enchant it with Victorious Imp, and you should be all good. Ping isn't too great anyway, and only really has noticeable benefits in PVP.

Robe over armor = only change is losing dura on the robe. Or some extra thing if you can get 10 points on a boost using lava cat.
All armor is pretty expensive if you want something good looking. I say stick with it, and only wear it when you really need to.
Personally, if I could even wear heavy armor, I'd go for something pretty, and then make it useful. I don't like having to wear a robe over my armor because I don't like it.
Also, if you don't play much, try farming, or something. Growing something easy like tomatoes, which only requires a few log ons every 30 minutes or so for a while, can really make a difference if you're just a casual gamer..

When hit, you lose .00x dura on your 1 random piece of equipment. The more you equip, the less of a chance of your armor losing dura.
Of course, there is still the dura loss you get from wearing it, but that's expected.

Well I would just keep the val, but I'm biased cause I love val armor so much :/...

Ping is very noticeable when you have enough of it. With Dustin (15) + Shield (13) + Trans (18), I ping on every 2-3 hits. If you're just using the armor it's not as great, but it's still more beneficial than most defense bonuses.
If anything, ping is less beneficial in PvP since most people will know how to spam attacks regardless of defense skills/abilities.
----
Keep the Valencia, but only wear it where you'll definitely need the defense/PD. In all other places, including when you're not fighting, wear something else (like clothing) perhaps with damage enchants instead of defense.

Ping works against Charge.

Didn't say it was useless (though Charge is trumped by magic, or sometimes N).
Just less useful.

In the situation that someone gets LBed then Charged, it works then, and you can counterattack. The opponent will probably have to resort to range spamming. In any case, I don't think the ping is worth the repair cost.

In PvE, ping can make the difference between life or death at that instant - seeing as how mobs can usually tear you to shreds regardless of your defense.
In PvP, it will only serve as an upperhand. And as said, only until the person goes "oh he has PD" and starts spamming Range, Magic, or knockback skills. Usually it won't make or break the duel unless the person you're fighting insists on using N/Charge for some reason.

Ping is too godly in PvP if only used by one person, but makes a good fight if used by both. Honestly, I find ping damn useless since repairing a whole ping armor costs more than a few armors. Maybe I'm just biased though since I've only used ping once and hated it D: And if you do keep the Val, enchant it with Defensive Imp or something for extra defense, since you basically just want an armor to tank... :p
