It's the endgame lanns and hamionas with stacked def that are doing the most damage. Evie's mana shields get knocked out fast and then it's a 2-3 hit ko from most raid bosses.
Lann's HP gets knocked out pretty fast too, and then its a 2-3minute wait to be ressed. :D
@ Starpaw
Most of the higher-end bosses can take out her shields in 2~3 hits, after that she will be lucky to take 2 more.
Most of the higher end bosses rape the other classes too, but they don't get the luxury of those manashield hits, and Manashield is completley overpowered in pretty much everything leading up to the jump from Dungeoning to Raids.
Also, Manashield comes back, HP does NOT regenerate.
2 SP Bars and the other is a 3-minute cooldown, but still great for parties/longer runs and faster + safer than an HP Potion.
Not really arguing against me, all the other classes get to use non instant hp recovery methods, where the boss ususally decides to shift aggro to those using potions.
Mana Regeneration has nothing to do with Healing.
"Also, Manashield comes back, HP does NOT regenerate." Its essentially more hits you can take if you're good with amber. I just view Manashield as Evie's cheap extra HP.
Merucry Trap does not work on all bosses.
Every class can stun.
4 SP Bars for Reverse Gravity so you won't see it nearly as much as the other skills - and may rather choose Regeneration over this.
Freezing does give a good few seconds, but then has a few minutes of a "cooldown" before it can freeze for the full duration again.
Thats nice, but what about everything in a dungeon, dungeon bosses, and even some lower raids. Oh wait, people don't seem to accept that part of this game exists...
Evie has moar stuns.
Colru.
Freezing is estially Evie's moar stun, and its more effective than Dark Knight's Fissure...
Wisps will only last 1 or 2 hits later on, and need a Scythe to do so, which eliminates Mana Amber/other Staff options.
Golems generally frowned upon in parties, and won't last very long in higher bosses - but still great for soloing.
Mana Pistols are better, but I haven't tested them out yet (butwill not last much longer either)
Yeah yeah, Scythes are actually balacned, but when compared to the jesus staff, they suck.
With golems, Evie can solo Hidden early and rack up those levels. :|
Mana pistols are great combined with golem, or just in general for an aggro drawer. But they still hit pretty hard if you consider that they're AI, and you can attack along side them.
No clue on the higher attack, except the other classes could get many more hits in per second.
DPS =/= Damage output
Sure the proest of pro spear lanns could probably out damage an evie, but I'm talking the average class vs the average evie.
50 hits of 1 damage do not equal 1 hit of 100.
Frankly, Evie's Magic Arrow range is so little, but with the time you have to charge spells it will much of the time be your better option.
Forget using Blind Arrow unless they are stunned, frozen (first stage), trapped, or whaling on another player.
But she's not rubbing her body against bosses, which can be catastrophic against things that turn their entire body into a hitbox.
And evie has those stuns.
What are you talking about?
Mana Amber = high Stamina cost, and in the face-paced battle she cannot keep spamming it without being left vulnerable.
Mana Shield = Second chance, and ~14 seconds (with about 2,000 INT, of course could be wrong) is enough for them to die before another shield can come up.
Not to mention if the boss does a combo against them.
You better know what on Earth you are doing while as them and how to dodge with practice.
But mana amber has the tendancy to send evie flying across the room away from a boss, so unless you're the only person left alive. You don't need to spam it.
and that could be said about everyone in this game.
Mana Shields do not recover Health, and it is a bad situation when you have very low Health and have to depend 100% on your Shields.
Ima say it in a way everyone can understand
You has a Karok with missing hp, and you has an Evie with broken shields.
If the Karok were to stand around for a while, he would not get any hp back, and pretty much wouldn't be able to take more hits.
If the Evie were to stand around for a while, she'd eventually get back her mana shields, which can take a few hits before they break.
Manashield is a nice safety net that she has in raids, and completely remove the chance of her losing any hp while going from the begining of the game at lower levels through dungeons. Trash mobs can't even scratch her unless you REALLY try to get mana shield broken.
I'm not really sure if OP is the right word, but if this game had an easy mode, it be Evie.totally not a sex joke there I swear.
