tinyurl.com is also good for making links shorter.
Here's one:
Mabination - Mabinogi Fansite
http://tinyurl.com/gurumovedhere
I'm not banned yet for some reason even though my link to mabinogi tools is all over the place, and on the mabi tools home page is a hugeass link to mabination.

I just created a thread asking where it went.
Apparently, Itchy doesn't appreciate us leaving ;)

Xiya: I think your thread is a great hint.
Done, using osay's link.
That certain someone doesn't appreciate us staying around either, I bet. It's all about the money for him.

To him what's important is the unregistered users swarming the site for guides and the question/help section. Those are the people who see and occasionally click ads. If people edit the content out of their guides after bringing it over here, it will reduce that. Guides that you wrote on guru are your property, so removing them is your right if you choose to.

My suggestion is that we all stop posting on guru and literally kill it.
Any newbie who posts we can lurk every once in a while and PM him where everyone is.
The less activity the forum has, the faster it will die.

Exactly.
Now everyone should kill their guides there and migrate over here.

wasnt it already stated that you should discreetly PM those who dont know yet, not blast it on a megaphone(or actions in that manner)? o.o
also, i'm wondering why they havent deleted the old threads and guides before migrating. if you leave the threads there, it gives itchy a base to build the forum back up on.

Isn't it that some people already got banned there for even discreetly PMing stuff?
Meaning that probably everything done there is trackable so it doesn't really matter what you do.
(I did edit stuff discreetely though.)
There wasn't enough time to delete the old threads and guides. We only had one or two days before it was discovered.

Well, one thing I've done to get more ppl to MabiNation is telling all my friends who play Mabinogi to switch to this forum. That's like 30+ ppl right there. If we just tell people whom we know personally to switch, we can still get a lot of people to migrate here without the possibility of our messages being censored. Also, when I meet a new player who's getting use to Mabinogi, I recommend them to go to MabiNation. It's really only a matter of time til Mabiguru dies out.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying. I didn't visit guru that much to begin with, but yeah.

All I know is, despite Itchy's reasons and everyone else's views of the situation, I'm remaining completely neutral.
I think it's wrong to just pelt the site we used to call ours, but I also think it's wrong that he left us behind and expected to make some money out of it (even though I must respect, it's strictly business).
I can actually think of more reasons for me to stick up for Itchy, but I prefer not getting bagged by either sides o3o;

Business makes perfect sense, I have some websites up for making moniez with.
Problem is how he ran it, which in the end was into the ground.
