I would prefer this option, mainly because in my house because my parents know not of the concept of knocking on the door, and are entirely protective in every single way, shape, and form. Adding to this note that my father moderates a large forum community himself, seeing a "Super Mod" with ass and boobs in their avatar tends to put and extremely negative image of this forum in his mind.
So yeah. The ability to sensor signatures and avatars that are "mature" would be much appreciated so I'm not thrown off of these forums. (And I doubt that I'm the only person with this problem.) However, I would advise a slight modification of a suggestion you made in the original post. The ability to view "mature" avatars and signatures should be available to all, though the ability to upload "mature" content to your own avatar and signature should rely on a user-level, so as to avoid being abused.
Additionally, because this forum seems to have a rule book, but no terms of service to agree to, I would add a little blip in the rules they agree to that "Mabination is not responsible for offensive content accessed by those who have registered under a false account age...." or something along those lines... With lawsuit-culture prominent in the US, some parents could go insane, regardless of it is their child's fault or not.

Hmm, this is something someone might like, maybe one or two of you. But I don't really see it as something Osay should spend his time on.

I like Morrigan/Kate's Idea
Quote from Morrigan;753994:
Or you could just keep the nudity in your avatar and signature to a minimum, since no one else has an ass for their signature.
I mean, you TA being a mod and all, you're allowed to have ass's as signatures but no Gary the butt. Also cleavage for avatars. Too bad there is no mascot for breasts and avatars. :\

I think for me it's less of the actual content, but instead the attitude, reasoning, and the person itself that's pushing for it.

Not while we're "mabi"nation.
Later on I wouldn't be opposed to age restricted stuff.
Isn't this a forum to talk about Mabinogi and Vindictus(Spelling)?

Yeah, but Osay wants to move away from Mabi/Vindi seeing as how a lot of the community doesn't really play anymore (which is highly debatable).
I'm not particularly comfortable with that idea but this isn't the thread to talk about that, plus we don't know if it's going to pan out.
I'm more concerned with TA's behavior as of late.

Good idea Claudia, Applejack. Let's make this a TA bashing thread.
Please, carry on.

An option to not see a user's signature or avatar, as opposed to every avatar/signature might be something useful as well...
Quote from Claudia;754227:

I'm just concerned about a slight hypocrisy here:
Quote from Global Rules and Guidelines:
Keep things PG-13 on the forums, and be aware that Moderators can remove content at their own discretion. Such content that is not allowed would be:
-Blatantly or extremely suggestive sexual imagery.
Yet we have the "pervert of the year" badge, ass, and breasts in a staff member's avatar/signature and suggestively censored nudity in her profile... It doesn't offend me in the least or bother me, but it does raise a question. Please don't take this reply as me bashing you, because I'm not. I think, though, that if we're moving away from this rule, it might as well be ridden of OR the suggestion should be implemented.

I see no bashing
Quote from Cynic;754119:
I just tell it like I see it.
if we all did that, there would be a lot more bans going around :fail3:

Not a TA bashing thread, more like a "I just want to know why a moderator isn't acting like one" thread.

So when I see nearly 2 full pages of people discussing the worth and behavior of a member of this site, rather than staying on-topic (we're delving into personal attacks here "ad hominem," e.g. this suggestion must be wrong because -insert negative thought about X member-), I should consider that not "bashing"?
It seems our definitions of bashing differ quite severely.
Were it any other member in question, I imagine doing such a thing would result in warnings and/or infractions.
It's ridiculous.
If you have complaints about me (or any other mod or member for that matter), you should take them to an Admin in private. All this does is create a bunch of unnecessary drama, not to mention derail a thread. Very untactful to say the least...

That may have been its original purpose. It's the only reason why I visit the website aside from reading the occasional news story. It now sports a rather close-knit community, much to the displeasure of anyone who falls outside the Bean Rua clique.

Excuse me, but what are you implying, especially with the part I bolded?
I'm quite interested in hearing this. Since all I did was vaguely float the opinion that I don't think you've been acting like the grown-up and moderator that you're supposed to be, it's suddenly open season for a moderator to fling all sorts of snide remarks at the average member who has a mundane and extremely valid concern?
See, I think this is interesting, because i'm not the only one who feels uncomfortable about this whole thing, and this isn't the first time something like this has happened.
So please, do tell me what you think is so special about me.
Also, you're a moderator, you can lock threads, can't you?

But yeah. Overall alright idea. Just user-level/cash shop upgrade it.
