Often times I've found that getting a job isn't so much about what you know as it is about who you know. Much easier to get an interview if you know someone that can forward your resume on.
You guys should also start looking into maintaining a resume. Send it out on Craigslist or other equivalent sites with a cover letter in a spam format. Eventually someone will reply even if there's a lack of experience.
The whole lack of experience issue is usually such BS for most jobs outside of certain industries. It's like a vicious cycle where people need experience but can't get it because no one is willing to give them the experience.

I have a killer resume. I rewrote it and updated it last year.
I even walked all around town a couple of times, going to businesses and asking for applications while trying to schmooze with the assistant managers.
IS IT 'CAUSE I DON'T FLASH MY TITS?

Yes, and remember to offer to give them oral.

Problem with jobs:
You need experience, and to get experience you need a job.

An easy way to get your first job is to get help from someone you know who works there. Whether it's a friend or family member, if you can get your foot in the door, you'll be okay. My first "real" job was a summer job, working with my dad as a janitor at a warehouse. Tough work looks great on a resume, especially if you're applying for entry-level work. :P

indeed. i got my job at the cookie store because i can draw + my best friend from elementary worked there and was good friends with the boss. if you have no experience your best way is to know someone who works there
or you could try fast food, but i got rejected by mcdonalds at least twice, when they were hiring. sad times u_u;

I always catch managers right after they've hired someone OTL;; And when I say right after, I mean minutes.
This summer I'm gonna see if I can work for my aunt at her catering company. If she agrees you'll never see me again cuz I'll probably die.. but that's a risk I'm willing to take guys.

you have to be persistent too ): it doesn't work for every job because in 2009 i applied to bath and body works, called back at least 5 times, only to finally be told the manager had already called back everyone they were gonna interview, so yeah u_u; i called victoria's secret back asking about my application and they hung up on me ffs
but at the cookie company i called once every couple weeks, and like 3 people were hired before i was. and my persistence is another thing that got me hired, but it was mostly the good word my friend put in for me :(
so it's very difficult to get a job without any prior experience. you probably have a good chance with your aunt though. lots of luck otto :D

And thus why we have the volunteer jobs for non-lazy people.
At least that's how I got
something to put on my resume.

Geez, there's no jobs opening in Allston or Boston.
That sucks because I'm desperately looking for a job.

Go around town and make a list of every store/restaurant/etc, then come back home and go to every website and fill out an application. I know it sounds tedious, but that's pretty much how I've gotten every job I've had. Don't focus on one thing, because even if you don't get the job you want, you'll probably get a job, and you might even grow to like it. You can't really be picky with jobs these days.
