[S]After opening the door, Trista entered into the room where (after much confusion) Mika’s friend sat puzzling over inscriptions on the door. Mika entered just after Trista did, and quickly the two caught up with all that had happened the past few days.
Trista told him of crime scene investigations, frustrating yet oddly helpful old ladies, and explorations through underground tunnels filled with working machinery.
“As a matter of fact,†Mika commented, “I was just doing a bit of exploration myself when who should I stumble upon but little Trista beneath my very two feet. What were you doing down there?â€
“I was looking for you! And I should as you the very same question.â€
“Well I’m down here to try and open this large door, as is my untimely friend here. As for why I was in the tunnels above you, I was looking for some kind of clue that might help solve the mystery of the engravings. We’ve already worked out two-thirds of the problem, but the last bit is just stumping us. Maybe you would fare better than we.â€
Trista follows Mika to the place on the door with the engravings and examines them. Beneath the first block was a note that simply said “Twenty-threeâ€. Likewise the second note said “Sixty-eightâ€.

If the first block is twenty-three, and the second block is sixty-eight, what is the final block? (It is also a two-digit number.)

Hint 1: There is no guessing. When you find out the pattern, you will know the answer with certainty.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hint 2: The blocks represent the numbers visually. There isn't any kind of code or rule that you need to decrypt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hint 3: Try changing the perspective by which you view the blocks.
