I'm in high school now and I am starting to feel like I should start being more conscious of what i wear and how I look.
Before I would just let my mom go clothes shopping for me and she'd come back with decent clothes I'd have no problem wearing. But now I feel like I want to start looking better and spending my money on collecting clothes and shoes instead of on games and computers etc...
I have literally NEVER been clothes shopping... So I'm asking the Mabination to lend me a hand.
1. Where do you usually shop for your clothes? (Maybe suggest websites, or places like outlets or malls)
2. What's the cheapest place to shop for clothes?(With decent quality/brands)
3. What's the best way to shop for clothes? (As in should i wait sometime for prices to drop? Is there specific places to buy specific articles of clothing? Etc.)
4. I am 6'0 (Still growing) and I weigh 120lbs. Should I wear V-Necks? (Friend suggest to me)
Right now I don't have that open of a mind, can you tell me if these are good deals?
Adidas Trefoil Hoodie:

$55
Vans White Solid Slip-Ons

$45
Vans LPE Black

$42
Nike Crew Socks

$14
Running Shoesies
http://www.zappos.com/product/7717094/color/262099
$48
I have no idea for jeans/shorts. I know I can get decent pairs of shorts for like $10-15 at Walmart
But what about slim jeans? (Not super skinny =.=, like in between baggy and skinny but a wee bit closer to skinny)
Edit: Im a guy guise

Be yourself. Decide what is right for you and don't let others influence you. Remember not to buy clothes just because of the brand name alone but rather how good it looks. A designer handbag that costs 500 bucks may be almost the same as a 20 dollar one from Kmart.

If I went to the same school as you, I would look at you, snicker, and say to myself, "Jesus, somebody's a tryhard."
$55 hoodie? Overkill.
I'm a girl, so obviously I shop at different places, but;
1. Where do you usually shop for your clothes? Forever21, mostly, but occasionally I pop into Marshall's, sometimes I buy a shirt from American Eagle. There isn't an H&M around here, but I would probably shop there.
2. What's the cheapest place to shop for clothes? Well, let's put it this way...expensive places to shop would be Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, yada yada.
3. What's the best way to shop for clothes? Well, the first thing you should do is ALWAYS try on everything, unless you're doing something like buying two of the exact same pairs of jeans. Not all sizes are created equally, as i've found out the hard way.
If you want to buy a lot of clothes, i'd say shop during sales, but be mindful of what the sale is, and what season it is - if there's a sale on summer clothes before you go back to school and you live somewhere cold, probably not a good idea to splurge.
4. I am 6'0 (Still growing) and I weigh 120lbs. Should I wear V-Necks? I think it would look flattering, but guys and v-necks do creep me out a bit.
One thing to keep in mind when clothes shopping is to aim for medium-priced stores, because with clothes, the price you pay is really the quality you get - sometimes I get really lucky when I go to Marshall's, other times not so much, but i'm always happy at Forever21, which has moderate prices and usually really good sales. Treat your clothes well and care for them properly, and they'll last.
But most importantly, in my opinion, is that high school isn't a fashion show. Really, it's not. It's even okay if you wear the same 10 or so shirts (but not in a row and not without washing them). Most days I wear leggings, a cami, and a cardigan, or leggings and a sweatshirt, and when the weather's warm a dress or a romper. I look at guys and girls that wear really expensive clothes and just snort because most people aren't at school to scope out what's hot as far as fashion is concerned. Above all, wear something weather-appropriate (especially important around here, at least) and something comfortable, since you'll be sitting down for hours at a time. Most people really don't care what you wear and teachers even tell me that they think dressing up for school is silly.
That's just my opinionated two cents, though.

You're 6 feet tall and a freshie? Dayum.
Slip ons always look cool though, but that's personal opinion. Like what Sayoko said, wear what you want/whatever makes you feel the best while you're wearing it.
If you do decide to take advice though, get Toms. Sanuks too, those things es comfy.

Just be yourself. You'll only look as good as you feel.

If you can fit into the kids' sizes for Vans and other shoes, they're $10 cheaper. If you want the shoes everybody's wearing, Converse and Vans aren't a bad choice. They go with everything and look great.
Macy's is a great place for clothes and shoes IMO. My mom has a Macy's reward/ credit card and she gets tons of coupons from them. You also get "rewards" that you can spend in their store. Their sales and clearance items are also pretty sweet. I don't check out the guy's section that often, so I'm not sure how great the sales in that section are. I bought a pretty awesome flannel top in that section for a nice price though.
Keep your eye out on deals online, in catalogs, and at pretty much every clothing store you visit. I was browsing the website for Wet Seal the other day and noticed they had a 5 for $20 sale for V-necks, tanks, and camis, so I stopped by the mall the next day.
I bought 14 tops and a dress from the mall a few days ago for a total of $72.60. Coupons and sales are awesome.
Honestly though, just wear what you like and be yourself. At school, I usually just wear a pair of jeans, a tee, and a jacket. Don't buy expensive crap though. A $55 brand-name sweatshirt is just as good as plain $10-20 dollar one.
Check out some outlets as well.

To be honest, it's what you like. It's your style, your body. It's hard to find what you like until you can grasp the idea what you like. Some guys like baggy jeans, some guys like tight skinny jeans, etc.
We can't really recommend you stuff, because well, everyone is different in their taste in clothing. But really, don't go crazy and buy hella expensive stuff, it's not worth it. Most of my clothes are cheap and I only buy them when my favourite stores are having a sale or something like that.
But I'll list the shops that I go to, I live in Canada so some of these stores might not exist where you live.
Forever21, ZARA, H&M, Urban Outfitters, Urban Behaviour, and that's pretty much it.

Meeko is extremely fashionable, though.

I recommend Kohl's or Macy's if you don't want to burn a hole in your parent's pocket.
Anyhoo,

I shop at a few brand name places and they have some decent sale items (but that may be because I was shopping at an outlet store down in the states xD)
I've found nice t-shirts from Armani Exchange and Guess for only about $15-19. $30 for two.
Jeans from Guess and FCUK are nice imo.
American Eagle and Hollister is often over worn (from my perspective) but they do have some cheap items from time to time.
For shoes, I always go with Adidas or Converse.
V-necks... Are a hit-and-miss sometimes. I have a few and I quite like them, but not everyone is suited to wear them (real life examples I came across: if you have acne/third nipple on your chest, don't wear a v-neck...)

>getting rid of your gaming habits.
I sense something bad in the making. I hope you're not giving up gaming because you think it'll make you look "lame" or "uncool".
Also, because you're tall and skinny I dunno how easy it'll be for you to find clothes in your size. Being petite and a twig (and I don't even have a chest to redeem myself) is a nightmare and a half as far as shopping is concerned. NOTHING in my size, NOTHING ever fits right, and especially when it comes to jeans, it's just not any fun. You tall people have it good.

Fashion nowadays will be uncool in 10 years.
Games will live on forever.

I'm giving up gaming because my cousin was the only person who kept me stuck with it. Mabi was the last game we played together and hes now more interested in 1st person shooters. After he left mabi I still stuck with it but now mabi sucks and my character is black robed. Thats why I'm throwing out gaming. I haven't touched a single game in 2 months now and i actually feel great about it, seeing how it took hours out of my life before.
Edit: I actually had a serious problem before with gaming because I would be online and stare at the screen and do literally nothing. And before i knew it 3 hours passed. No progress in game, or in real life...
