There's a lot of talk about how dfo is dead in NA.
The lack of updates is kind of like when Europe closed down Mabinogi.
NexonKR sent management to NA and ex-employees are writing on Glassdoor that DFO is dead (might be fake)

Nexon investors report came out today and it says NA's profit is down 21% compared to last year so it might be safe to say that DFO is NexonNA weakest game and they're cutting.
