It's always good to have 2 or 3 champs that you're good at. If you can't play your main and you only play that champion, then you're probably screwed with a freebie you've never even touched before.
I have Warwick, Garen, and Teemo on a decent skill level so I can always have a champion I'm good at in a 3v3.
AND ZID, POST YOUR IGN, SON.

I'm a total noob at this. I suck at competitive RTS and also being matched against people with high Mastery/Rune count makes me want to cut myself. ;__;

Totally @_@ Even though I have this game, I rarely play it unless my cousins are around and ask me to play xD I'm not the best player, but also not the worst >_> It's kinda Ironic since I was the one that got them into DotA way back when, and now they're leagues ahead of me in LoL xD Of the two cousins that play, the younger of the two is only missing the majority of the 6300 champs and a few 3150 champs >_> He's ridiculous.
I'm not on often, but
IGN: Prophyrios
If ya wanna play sometime, just lemme know

I just realize how important team composition is.
I had a 3v3 match with the following teams:
My Team:
-Taric (Myself)
-Kayle
-Ryze
Opposing Team:
-Ashe
-Kog'Maw
-Fiddlesticks
It was 2 melee and 1 mage vs. 2 Nuke and 1 Range.
Every time I got near Fiddlesticks, Fiddlesticks used Fear to confuse me, Drained my health and then use Crowstorm to finish off my character.
It didn't help matters that Fiddlesticks always had Ashe or Kog'Maw nearby to prevent any assistance from my teammates.
Not surprisingly our team lost the match.
It seems that best way to win is to get a range character and get good at kiting.

That used to be the entire metagame, actually. Entire teams made of characters with really good kiting capabilities.
You had a bad matchup on that team. Your best bet was to wait in some brush and hope they came into it, or place lots of wards so you knew where they were and could gank them. They just had way more range than you.
Mercury treads was a must in that match. Fiddle's fear+silence is deadly without them, and they would have helped with Ashe's arrow, and helped stop Fiddles damage and some of Kogmaw's.
Not much you could have done in that situation. You just had a disadvantage due to bad team composition.

Your team was overall a bad choice. Wasn't balanced enough since you basically had 2 supports and an easily countered caster. Always try to find balance in your team in 3v3. Try having a soak with some damage output, a pure DPS, and a caster. That way, even if the other team all gets a Thornmail or a Banshee's, you still have a way to **** them over, and you'll easily win if they don't build any Armor/MR at all.

I usually play Ashe, but I am still new to this game and I was experimenting with different Champions.
I almost have enough IP for another character.
I was thinking about getting Anne or Miss Fortune for their farming capabilities. Though Anne looks fun to play.

Annie is often considered the best caster in the game. MF is also a good character if you have other champions on your team who synergize with her. Looking up videos and really defining your own playstyle helps you choose champions though. I'm almost always an Assassin DPS type so I've gone for WW, Akali, and Teemo. Just try to find out your playstyle and choosing champions will be easy for you ;D

For starters, don't try anything you're not 100% sure you'll win.

Taking risks is how people learn. Go out on a limb and try a champion you've never touched before. Sure, you might lose, but learning in a real situation is the best thing you can do. I always practice champions in normal queue just to see if I'm up to par with other people.

I just had the best nail-biting comeback 3v3 match last night.
Our Team:
- Ashe (me)
- Sivir
- Kog'Maw
Opposing Team:
- Ashe
- Xin Zhao
- Fiddlesticks
Half of our defenses were taken out.
The top part of the map, all of our towers were destroyed and the opposing team minions were already streaming into our base.
At that point our team have only taken out two opposing towers.
With a combination of Kog'Maw and Ashe's Volley we were able to kill off all the minions.
Then using Frost Shot and Enchanted Crystal Arrow and my team mates we were able to kill off all the opposing champions all at once.
While the opposing champion were waiting to respawn, we push forward hard.
We were able to destroy the enemy towers and inhibitors and win the game.
