Nasus has no cap on his growth potential. That Q will get stronger the longer the game lasts. But he is a prime example of a "late game champion", because his Q does pretty low damage early game and his kit isn't very great for laning. Most top laners actually shit on him if you pressure him enough, which can really delay his growth.
Nasus is very subject to CC, so snares and slows will keep him off your squishies. Without any diving moves, he can be kited around. If his whither is a real problem, your adc might want to run cleanse or buy a mercurial scimitar.
If Nasus is jungling, make dragon vision a huge priority. He can solo it with his ultimate at level 6, and most people do sneak it at that time for a huge early team boost.

I think the biggest mistake a lot of people make when it comes to top lane Nasus is letting him free farm, they do everything right up to that point.
You beat him in lane, great. Shut him down early, super. Destroy his tower and roam around, ehhh not the best idea.
After breaking the tower a lot of top laners just kinda roam around and forget about him, which allows to free farm, and like Kitae said he has no growth cap. He'll just grow and grow from that point.
I just feel like that's the biggest mistake top laners do, and they freak out when they find out he farmed up and is beating them 1v1.

There is a point though where his passive lifesteal and items make him unkillable in lane unless you're WAY ahead of him. You really have to hard counter him to be able completely stop him from freefarming, which isnt always possible.

Nasus's only weakness is scooby snack.

Vulnerable to ganks and at some point Nasus will be able to 1v1 her easily, but a decent counter. Your ruin your team comp a bit by running Vayne top though.

Yeah. Vayne top is risky. Early he can't really do anything to you though, as are most melee tops. I know about my vulnerability to ganks so I always buy AT LEAST 1 ward every b, but I always try to get 2 maybe even 3. I like to be able to ward the bushes at top in case I feel like engaging with E to get that stun off. Not having vision for even a second can totally ruin it.

Depending on your jungler it's pretty easy to dive a Vayne post 6 once Nasus has some armour.

I pretty much take advantage of early game. Don't get me wrong, I don't usually go Vayne top haha.
I've won all my games as Vayne when I top though (in ranked). I call and pick adc first and people insist on still picking adc so I just end up going top because Vayne top is a lot more viable then a lot of other adcs.

Yes Vayne top is scary early but wither also completely shuts down that true damage. Vayne will only win early and keep winning if she had that early advantage imo.

Well, if you're not at an advantage by the time the other top is level 6 you probably shouldn't play Vayne you feel me?

Speaking of Scooby Doo.
I was Velma in a group of friends that played out a mystery. We lost, but it was still fun.

If you're zoning Nasus away from the wave then it'll eventually push to his turret and he can farm safely and put Vayne in a dangerous position to get ganked. People underestimate Nasus's passive WAY too much.

Too many clues, too many scooby snacks.
