  And to totally pop out of nowhere and add 2 cents to a conversation where it really doesn't need to be added, and quite frankly shouldn't be added, this entire thread is 900+ pages of nothing but people jerking off about their accomplishments, trolls, counter trolls, bait and tears. I thought this was fairly clear.

  I finally got justification for my hate of the poppy rework, as a season 2-3 poppy main, nearly exclusively. I kept telling everyone she feels weak as shit after her rework, i finally looked at her winrate and laughed, turns out i'm not just some old crank who can't let go of the past, her winrate is literally in the dumpster.
  
  Winrate isn't everything, but it really does show someones weak/something is really lacking when its only slightly higher than urgot and morde.

  Her winrate is so abysmally bad, she at least needs some small buffs. I think Poppy jungle is decent as it is but toplane is pretty bad because harder to wallstun.

  I actually like playing the new poppy, albeit I never played the old one.
  
  I know anecdotal evidence doesn't mean much against statistics, but I feel she does good damage despite being able to build quite tanky.
  Her skills feel rewarding to use, especially W which can prevent engages and escapes such as Lucian dashes away or thresh lanterns. Her Q is hard to land, but does 6% heath max.
  
  My build for top is:
  0/18/9 with Ignite
  First item Corrupting Potion > Trinity force > Tank items
  AD Quints/Marks, Flat AR Seals, Scaling MR Glpyhs
  First point Q then E or W depending on whether they use dashes (W is so great against riven)
  
  I've also done poppy jungle and support

  But that's the thing, for what poppy actually brings to the table, you could play renekton or mundo and get nearly the same thing done better toplane, in jungle she doesn't really bring anything amazing either save for a wallpin, as a support she stops a dash and can remove someone from a fight once every few minutes. She gets stupidly beefy and her ult is kinda annoying, but she really doesn't bring much to the table outside of a wall slam and 1 jump cockblock.
  
  Her kit isn't good enough right now, I'm sure with a few small tweaks here or mini buffs there she'd be phenomenal, but she doesn't do anything that well, or have her own expertise where she shines
  As a support/carry babysitter she has some decent tools, but others can do it better still lol, same with her jungle or toplane, too many others just simply do what she does better. She doesn't shine anywhere, outside of the ult taking someone from a fight for 3-4 seconds, but lolotherultsdoitbetter
  
  Take what i say with a grain of salt, but I've played toplane poppy enough with the old poppy this new one just feels so bad to use, and that's saying something. Most wont feel the same as me, but that's because most didn't dedicate 2 years of their gameplay to poppy alone.
  
  Poppy used to be the ultimate iron asshole test, can you lane and make it to 20 minutes without getting destroyed? If so please enjoy the next 20 minutes of anticarry goodness that is completely unparalleled. Now she's just another beefy champion with some random stuff in her kit that seems like 'fun'.

  Poppy is fine as a tank. She has great peel and disruption which is all a tank needs. With 40% CDR she becomes extremely annoying to deal with. The problem is she has basically no damage unless she lands a wall stun and her only CC is unreliable. It's still a displacement though which is very useful to have.

  Not at all, I think you misunderstand. Many people don't care about rank, probably even a majority. If you talk shit about someone else's rank, you are not one of those people. It was a pre-emptive comment because shit talkers always bring out the "but I don't care" when you call them out on it, despite the fact that they clearly do.

  This statement wasn't very logical, either. Hypothetically, a shit-talker would care more about whether or not their target cares about their rank. Whether or not the shit-talker cares about their own rank has no basis in this consideration.

  Since, at this point, Poppy is the only reason I play the game, I was really worried about the rework. I think that, while different, it is better in the end. She doesn't ever get to hypercarry status, but she also is far more reliable and is hardier in lane.
  
  Building damage is not the way to go, though. A Black Cleaver or Frozen Gauntlet is fine, but more than that and you're better off playing someone else. She excels at peel rather than dive so picking up enough defense that people can't delete you and enough CDR that you have near permanent hard or soft CC on a target is the best way to succeed. Alternatively, she can lock down a target pretty well for the team to engage on.
  
  The downsides are that you have to have a team that can follow up on engages or a carry worth peeling for...not really ideal for solo-queue. So, yeah...a solid pick that is probably not very meta atm because of how powerful assassins are (which makes peeling less feasible), but overall in a better place than before.
