Ok, so I know some of you have been playing EU mabi and have more than one version installed on a PC. I just have some questions about it.
1. Is there anything special I'll have to do, to install two versions of Mabi on one PC?
2. From a post by Saani, it seems that the Download is IP blocked. So I tried to download it and I didn't have any problems downloading the self installer and the self installer started the 1.1Gig download without any problems. Would this mean that my region isn't IP Blocked and that I wouldn't need to use a Proxy to log in? I don't live in the EU tough or any region where Nexon has a local server.
Quote from Saani;43249:
I played before I totally wiped my computer. I haven't even attempted downloading it again, because they have an IP block on the download, and my proxy won't work for it.
My reason for wanting an account there is that I'm planning to move to Sweden in the next year or so and I'd like to reserve my name and train my char a little now hehe
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Downloads aren't IP blocked, im in europe and download mabi from NA website just fine. The prob is when you try to login. if your IP is invalid, it won't let you to
(unless european nexon is way more nitpicky than nexon US and completely locked off the downloads, but the download mirrors should cover that)
Also about the double region client, i think you have to put them in different places because 1 version detects the other and wont let you play. unless there's a way to change the way one client connects to the server
and yea, proxy is the only chance :/

I know the download for the NA version isn't IP blocked, but I was referring to
this thread where Saani said that the downloads on the EU server was IP Blocked and that her proxy wouldn't work for the download. So I was wondering since my IP wasn't block, that I might not be blocked to play. But knowing Nexon they might only block some IP's on downloads and the rest at login :/
I ventured onto Guru and found an old article that had two ways of using multi versions. The one involved editing the registry and the other creating an other user account and installing the EU version there. Does anyone know if this still works?

Sorry for the Double post, but here's what I found out.
1. Yes you can have more than one Mabi installed using different windows accounts (On XP at least).
2. Yes I can play it without using a proxy. So people for South Africa can play it legitimately now :)

You have to edit registries and everything, stuff I'm too tired to type up.

I just added a second user account and installed it on that. Both versions work flawlessly.

Odd. My friend couldn't download the EU version because of her IP, and there was a post about it on the EU forums when I used to visit there. I figured they had blocked downloads from outside IPs. I should download it again, then.
Didn't know South Africa had access. That must be new, because I think Russia is STILL trying to get unblocked, and the middle-east had the hardest time.
Anyway, this is good to know.

Yeah, I saw you don't have duel wielding ether, that sucks. I might wait for G8 then.

I'll PM you how to play without a proxy on the US servers. I'm pretty high rank there.
@Saani. I'm surprised at it myself. But it might be because we connect to the word trough a under sea cable that lands some ware in the EU. And part of your current network is EU owned.

i know that method but its still laggy for me because im from israel and its way too far from the servers thanks anyway

Oh, well I'm in South Africa, that's 10k miles away. And my connection goes up the the EU and then over to the US. I usually play with 500-900ms lag.

thats not fair just because we are from a different country we have to play on the old ver we have nothing in the europe its so boring and hard to lvl

I play okay through a proxy on EU. If I could get the disabling proxy thing to work (since there is a method, it just never works for me), I'd probably play there instead of on NA.
