So, Nation, do you have any irrational fears you'd like to share with the rest of us? xD I mean something weird that you're scared of and don't really know why.
I have one.
And please, I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way, but...
Men. I'm scared of men orz; Not boys, but men. Especially when they're much, much older than me. It's weird because I have no idea where this came from (I wasn't always like this) and because I'm straight. I wonder how I can be attracted and scared of something at the same time <.<;; The only exceptions seem to be with men that are in my family. I'm perfectly comfortable around my dad, grandpa, uncle, etc. it's just...idk.
I know that not all men are bad guys, but I can't seem to help feeling scared around them. I don't mean to offend any male members here, it's just how I am orz;
So what about you, Nation? Any irrational fears?

I am scared of spiders running around on me and -plop- running into one of my cavities!

Maybe you're just nervous around them. Are you sure that's not what it is? It's natural to be nervous around people you're attracted to.
As for me, not really... Well, if I had to pick one... it'd be sharks and drowning. I dunno what one would be worse. Doesn't keep me from going in the water though.
You probably won't even get that. ;(
I can't really think of any, though. I can't explain my fear of the dark, but it's such a common and understood fear that I wouldn't call it irrational.

That's an interesting fear you have there. [S]Maybe you should stop watching America's Most Wanted or the news[/S] >.<
My irrational fear is heights. Yes, I know - so original.
But, it's really kind of bad. The moment I get onto the second step of a ladder, my knees are shaking.
And school bleachers? Pffft. I'm terrified of them. Thankfully, I'm in college now - so I don't see bleachers anymore.
Yet, I'm fine if I am in an enclosed area. Airplanes and elevators are fine.
But when you have those see-through glass elevators, OMG. I have to close my eyes, I get so terrified :T_T:

Oh no, trust me, it's not just being nervous. I get
scared. If a man is standing close to me, especially an older one (like in his 40s or something), I feel myself getting ready for a physical fight and I already start looking for ways I could get away from him. It's not like being nervous around a guy I like or something xD;; I hope that made sense.

Oh, I have lots.
Let's see, there are a few of the normal ones. Fear of heights, fear of poisonous bugs, fear of sharp objects.
But I also have: fear of ketchup, fear of yellow lights, fear of stickers, fear of my room suddenly becoming a vacuum in my sleep, fear of being alone (not as in foreveralone, I mean like being by myself), fear of driving, fear of nails. Those are the big ones.
Of course, some of them are more intense than others, and I try to just ignore them as best I can because I can understand that my fear is irrational. But I literally go into panic attacks if I'm above the third floor of a building. I walk really gently, as if I'll fall right through the floor and all the way to the bottom if I stomp, and if there are nails inside of a room, I'll put them away before doing anything else.
But I'm getting better at not freaking out over things that I really have no business freaking out over, so that's good.

I'm positive I have generalized anxiety disorder because I'm often afraid of nothing. So it's hard to tell what I'm actually afraid of.

I don't remember where I heard it, but I recall someone telling me that there are two things a person fears when they are born. One is heights. Don't remember the second. All the other fears you obtain you get through out your life for a specific reason.
I myself am terrified of heights when I'm like.. 5~6 ft above the ground. Had to climb a tree about 15~20 feet up when on a hunting trip at around 3 AM in the dark. It was the scariest shit I had to do ever in my life. Stayed up there for 5+ hours. My legs weren't shaking because it was freezing cold, they were shaking because I was scared as f**k.
Anyways, I can't think of any 'irrational' fears I have. All the ones I can think of I have a reason to be afraid of them.

Mines similar. I'm afraid of bugs of any sort or spiders crawling into my mouth, ears or nose when I'm asleep.

I'm not too sure what would count as irrational, but I'm terribly scared of insects. Spiders especially.
I also have mild paranoia when I'm completely alone and in the dark (or in the dark in general). My mind loves playing tricks on me and making every noise I hear make my skin crawl.
If it counts, I also have an abandonment complex.

Used to be the same for me, but probably worse. Couldn't even get past the first step without freezing and noticeably shaking. Not even kidding. Got over that fear just by thinking that it's all in my head. Sure, I'm still kinda nervous being around high places, but it's only just minor vertigo now.
