Would've loved for someone to give me a heads up before dropping the ball like this, but what's done is done, haha.
Same sentiments here lol
I've noticed quite a few differences since I came back, so I guess the new staff is doing something at least. Be it good or bad, WHO KNOWS. Time'll tell. I really do wish you guys the best of luck. And don't become unpleasant. I genuinely like pretty much all of you.

I'll be myself all the way through. The difference being I have some extra shiny buttons I can click, hopefully for the better.

I don't know... what to say now... I sent one of the moderators a PM how I felt and... I think I'll say the same in here as well.
I don't agree with the new staff list... I know few new staffs do deserve it but not the most... Sorry if I ended up offending you guys.
I honestly just think that the website leader should rather open the applications, and seeing who wanted to become one, and see which one suits the best, and asking the community if they agreed with the choices.
I felt like the website's admin just ran off and made the new staffs without asking the community first if they're okay with it (which probably would be the case... sorry to spit out the truth).
I know there's LOT of personality clashes against the new staff members versus the regular members, and I fear that the powers might be abused more on certain people more than others just because they don't get along well together...
I'm not sure if I feel comfortable being in this community now, and if I should keep posting in this forum anymore, because I'm really scared.

If you follow the rules, there's nothing to be scared about. It's a big change, and I'm sure we all understand how you guys could be uncomfortable with it all. Hell, I'm still trying to get used to it myself.
The thing is, you guys have to give us a chance. Things aren't going to get done right if people aren't compliant with us. It's okay if you don't agree with some of us, but it'd be a lot better if you'd give us a clean slate and see what we really can do, instead of thinking ill of us from the start, because that just causes problems.
As for the power abuse, that's something you've got to drop at the door when you become a site leader. The small amount of work I've done these past few days has been absolutely nothing personal, and I think I can say that for the rest of the new staff, as well.

Aye... I will give you guys the chance to see how the community goes before I make the decisions. Your post made me little more less nervous now.

Considering most of the people who became staff might have applied anyways, they would have been picked even if we did that.
Another issue with having the community vote on mods is that it becomes a popularity contest.
It also takes time. Time that you don't have when the 2 most active staff members quit in the same 24 hour period.
In the future when we need to get more staff, we probably will have applications, however it's unlikely there will be a community vote.

You also may want to see
some clarifications here, if you haven't read that yet.

Ah yeah. I haven't thought about that. Sorry.

I never really liked the idea of applications (though I probably would have never been a mod here without them owo;), usually is better to see members that have proven to be someone you can trust on the "job" through their posting and activity on the forums and then ask them if they are interested.
I liked the system we had on this big forum I used to be a super mod on. Basically Admins chose Super Mods, each supermod was mainly in charge of a general forum section (i.e games sections, or politics, etc), and they chose "General mods" which were in charge of more specific sections (i.e MMORPGs inside games, single players inside games) and they were in charge of assigning regular mods for the forums in these sections. But obviously the site was huge, and had several topics of discussions, the staff sections activity was similar to that of Bean Rua here ._·
ANYWAY DRIFTED OFF.
You shouldn't worry too much Zeo, these people are all coolio and I think it's going to be fine fine.
