Most people I know haven't.

Hard to take that article/site serious, it seems more like propaganda rather than an informative article because of the overshadowing bias since the sites owner is a well known conspiracy theorist.

lol I get what you mean, but like, I don't know. I think there are more pressing issues than worrying about having everyone be able to own guns.

I'm pretty sure having a knife or any weapon that can easily cause death in their face is a big deal...

Proportionality. You can inflict far greater injuries to a larger number of people with a firearm than you could with a blade within a constant period of time.
Imagine how the Beslan massacre would have played out if the attackers were limited to melee weapons or if some of the hostages possessed firearms for their own defense.

I fully support gun rights. Regardless of what you do, criminals will find a way to be armed, and have you ever tried to win a gunfight without a gun? It doesn't work like CoD, you can't just chuck a knife at them and instantly kill them. Additionally, shooting sports are extremely popular, be it hunting, skeet, or rifle target shooting. These sports are also the safest in they world, with an average of 2 related deaths per year. As the NRA says "Guns don't kill people. People kill people."
indeed. my dad's a gun advocate and a member of the NRA. a couple years ago at an atm he and my mom could've been attacked by men in a van, but because he made it clear with exaggerated movements that he had a gun, they backed down and nothing came of it :0

Their fear may not or may not be jusitifed
but the idea Obama getting relected is likely

Though I do agree that people should be allowed to own at-least one gun given they don't have a record of violent/extremely irresponsible activity.
But the reasoning behind this current irrational fear is pretty retarded.

fixed
I don't think anyone uses a gun purely to injure someone
which is what I hate about guns

Obama's been screwing us over for 4 years now ._.
He got in entirely on the fact he's black. Anyone who voted for him is a blind follower.
Most of his campaign was "change"

If we could do it all over again, it would be nice if we could create weapons that incapacitate people but don't kill them, like tasers.
But we can't. So, guns.
It isn't really an option anymore. Gun usage is just so widespread that sometimes they can become necessary.

That's pretty ridiculous and you know it.

That depends on which way the gun is pointed and who's holding it. Of course, I don't like staring down the barrel of a gun, even when I'm only cleaning it.
@Chiyuri
Not knowing if the intended victim has a gun or not adds an element of risk for any would-be robber.
I highly doubt Obama would even try to remove our right to bare arms. I haven't heard of anything he's said or done that would suggest such a thing.
