So what's the point of sword fiona? She must have SOME redeeming factor over hamionas right? Maybe better survivlablity?
There is no point.
Classes are imbalanced.

So what kind of hammer should i have for levels up to 20~40 b4 the ivory hammer?
-
Invertex wrote on 2012-04-18 10:18
Well, you get your default Hammer at 24.
There are a bunch of different Hammers between the default and the Ivory which comes at 52. I have no idea which is the best, but I'd go for a new hammer around Lv. 40 when you're getting the Laghodessa set. So that'd be a hammer called Stigma.

Alright thanks for your polite answers. I might as well ask you all the questions here.
I checked some of the stuff out at the market place and they're pretty expensive (specially the higher end gears/weapons)
Is magic powder the only way to make money for me so far? lol

Sadly, yes. You can run Dragon starting at Lv. 40 and hope for breakoffs/drops which might help you get somewhere to start. Otherwise you'll likely have to farm your own Swift/BH set in the future. The only other profitable thing to do is raid every day once you hit Lv. 60. There are a set of raids that you can only do once a day, and can offer decent profit if you get lucky.

Alright. Why do people sell magic powder at high price and why do people keep buying them?

They're used for enchanting equipment, or rather, materials to create "Elixirs" used to help enchant equipment.

Magic powders are used in large quantities to craft Magic Elixirs and Blessed Magic Elixirs. These are required for use in the minigame for enchanting items, which allows you to essentially double the base success rate of enchant scrolls.
At later levels, good enchants are a large part of your equipment. They give very noticeable stat boosts, but the scrolls start costing 1m-30m per enchant. Given a full set of enchants is about 24 enchants... you can see where this is going.
Magic Powders also are somewhat annoying to farm, but you get plenty from just playing the normal dungeons (which most people don't do now).

They are really annoying to farm lol, you get maybe 1 or 2 per run if your lucky
Sorry for double post, should i sell my ice crystals? they seem to be pretty expensive.
-
Invertex wrote on 2012-04-19 06:16
Well, you could. Just note that you'll need Ice Crystals yourself to craft an Ivory Hammer once you reach Lv. 52.
So you'd have to buy them back regardless.
Also please refrain from double posting, even if you're adding information. There's a 24 hour window before you're allowed to do so, otherwise it's against the rules. Just a quick warning.

Oh ok, my bad. I was not aware of the rules T_T I'll refrain from double posting. sorry.

Don't worry about farming magic powders. There are far better ways to make money once you get a level 60 weapon. Technically you can start in the 50's, but imo it's better to just level to 60 first and take the extra power unless you're really struggling for cash (under 1-2m by then). However, pick up all the ones you see along the way. Just by doing battles, you'll find a lot "on accident" throughout the game. I think I ended up with something like 60-70 levelling from 1 to 40 or so and I didn't look for/farm them at all.
Even at level 60, it's questionable how much farming should immediately be done. There's a decent lineup is very valuable scrolls given by quests in the 60's. Perhaps a little bit of everything to give you a boost when you need it/feel like it. You could very easily not farm at all and still end up with an acceptable raid set as some of the scrolls sell for 20-30m+ apiece. I don't remember exactly what you get, but I think it puts you at at least 50-60m. That's enough to afford a Black Hammer and armor, and perhaps some more left over to upgrade your weapon to around +6-8, depending how confident/lucky you feel. It won't get the best stuff in the game, but it's an excellent place to start.

yea i'm starting to understand how this game works now..
is there any guide or somewhere that provides information about like having those +3, +2 (enchanting? i think)
i just wanna know how to do them and stuff

Ferghus enhances stuff.
http://vindictusdb.com/item?i=Ivory+Long+Hammer
Go to the enhance tab. Upgrading from 1-3 is safe at 100%, of course. Upgrades to 4 and 5 drop your item one level on failure. Upgrading from 6 to 8 drop your item to 0 on failure. Upgrading to +9 and higher is not recommended without cash shop runes and will break your item on failure.
Weapons gain durability when they go up a level and lose durability when they go down, but overall they'll go down more than they go up when they fail. Durability means nothing for weapons except how often you'll have to repair, but durability over 100 in armor makes it last longer before it breaks. Durability under 100 breaks in the same time as 100 dura armor.
All weapons gain the same benefits from upgrading regardless of which weapon is being upgraded, except for possible weight differences. Weight is always lowered at 1, 2, 6, 11 and 15, though. Armor works similarly, so it might be worth upgrading things to +2 if you can't quite fit the weight requirements and have plenty of money to spare.
Usually Ivory weapons are worth upgrading because it's much cheaper, but with such a gap between Ivory and Black Hammer, I'd just save up. It's okay if you get it to like +3 to 5 or so because it'd cost 50-120K and give 150-350 attack, but I wouldn't play with it too much.
