  not sure if that had to do with it, as someone mentioned, teh questions were too broad, and there wasn't a middle option that's like a no opinion option

  40. A little surprised that it's that low. Must have been the already proven caring for animals dropping the score, as well as me being lazy (put strongly disagree to the questions that asked if I'm a morning person, or if I make a list of chores to do each day, and other like questions). Don't really see how laziness has to do with empathy when my laziness only affects me (seriously, don't see how making a list that I have to do for myself each day has anything to do with empathy as long as the chores get done).

  Test is pretty questionable, I wouldn't take it too seriously. In a test like this, it shouldn't be possible for people with completely opposite intentions to pick basically the same answers and things like roller coasters should be completely irrelevant. What if I'm afraid of them? What if I throw up whenever I get on one? I voted that I'd love it, but that's because I love excitement. It had nothing to do with empathy. And there's quite a few questions like that.
  
  The animal thing makes sense to me. I voted for people over animals. I love and care about animals, but they just can't communicate with and understand me the way a person could.

  Okay. For all who took the test and thought some items had no bearing on empathy, please click the spoiler button below. I made a list of ALL the irrelevant statements where your rating of them doesn't matter.
  
  According to this site (which certainly looks like the same test), there are 20 items where you can earn 1/2 points for answering slightly/strongly agree respectively and 20 questions where you earn 1/2 points for answering slightly/strongly disagree. That leaves 20 items that are completely irrelevant. You guys actually guessed them pretty well.

  These have nothing to do with empathy and should not affect your score at all. If they do, then someone copied the test poorly.
  
  Edit: The test seems to be copied correctly. I answered for perfect score of 80 and slightly one way or the other for the irrelevant ones, then did it again answering strongly on the irrelevant ones, sometimes switching sides. Both times I received 80 points.
