[UB]Don't worry, people who main puppetry and nothing else will be forced to do more fundamental talents (Archery or Warrior) since their damage will be lacking in numbers. No one that does pure puppetry will stay that way for long, as they'll usually work on str/dex skills or quit altogether. [/UB]
Getting some random max damage enchants can also help with puppets, either that or specialized puppet enchants (there aren't too many that I know of)
Eiry does full puppetry, and is ranking Warrior/Ninja/Archery.
Eiry only uses Archery during rafting & other things like that, and Eiry doesn't use ninja at all.
Eiry does not use warrior unless absolutely necessary, so Eiry keeps a sword/shield on the secondary tab in case extra defense is needed.
Eiry doesn't know if you've ever tried it, but Elf Melee (Lacking Final Hit and a significant amount of WM damage) VS anything more than one single Unknown Man ends about as well as Counterattack VS Dragon Dash Attack.
Additionally: Eiry is totally OK with the "low" damage that having Puppeteer as your only Master talent gives. It's around 2~3k Climactic crashes.
Since you ranked ranged, you could always do what I do on my elf. Crash shot, lullaby and magnum the rest. I'll be surprised if they're any elf puppeteers that don't have ranged ranked.

As a matter of fact, I did try killing Unknown Men with Elf melee. Result? Dead Unknown Men.
Yeah, Elf Melee sucks, but it's not that bad. Elf with around 650 control bar max with 26% overture will probably crit around 3.5-5k WM. That much damage is enough to kill the Unknown Man. WM and Lullaby also does wonders, and if your WM doesn't kill, you can use Crash shot or Act 7 to follow it up.
Or alternatively, if you have higher strength as an Elf, you can just get a ele 6 bow and bowmill them.
Even though I do like puppets and use it often myself, it's not really a mainable class.
In fact, it'd be stupid to not rank range if you're doing puppet.
And suddenly Saga becomes impossible for full Puppeteers.
[UB]It might be a bit easier just to rank song to r5 now, since it only requires 99 APs to do so. Even with a lullaby that lasts mere seconds, it's still pretty useful.
I hated archery too, but for some reason, I kind of want to try it again, but with decent stats that is. I quit my elf because I'm far to lazy to rank life skills, and having a mere 500 dex isn't going to get me anywhere. The other thing was lag with ranged skills. Apparently, after changing my MTU to 256 (just for the time I'm on mabi), elf range became so much easier and much more reliable, because there was no skill lag. SoG became very possible, but too bad my elf damage sucked. [/UB]
Not really... You don't need to pull Cessair just to kill them.
In groups of 2+, since Act 7 really doesn't work on them due to Act 7 ignoring enemies in motion, the only usable puppet skills are Crisis and Act 4.
Not always true, and I've had Act 7 ignore enemies standing still too.
Archery Revamp:
[UB]
All ranged skills aims 50% faster than what they used to.
Every 250 dex adds 1 piercing level to bows. (It was mentioned by someone else a few posts before. I'm just copying it)
Normal Elf Ranged Attack aims at the same speed as Humans.
Crash Shot Fragment explosive radius is now at 800 at r1.
Crash Shot Fragment number is now at 8 at r1
Support Shot now has a small AoE and affects magic damage as well.
Elven Magnum Shot now does 600% instead of 500%.
Elven Crash Shot fragment damage now at 300%.
Elven Ranged percentage is now more accurate.
Elven Ranged Skills give a total of 50 more dex total from all skills than Humans.

[S]Crisis Escape Cooldown set to 9001 years. HUE.[/S]
Meteor Strike Cooldown 30 mins ==> 10 mins.

So um, how would making Cessair immune to Crisis make Saga impossible? As you said Crisis already sucks against them in the first place.
