There's a difference between giving one an edge and making them hilariously overpowered by comparison.
Elves have: mounted archery, running archery, double shot, faster Magnum/Crash Shot, and Final Shot.
For comparison, the edge that humans have: [S]two-handed weapons[/S] not anymore, [S]heavy armour[/S] not anymore, lances, dual wield, Final Hit, Arrow Revolver.
Make Final Shot a more meaningful skill like they did with FH and be done with it. Elves don't need to be spoon-fed.
Mounted archery is so niche it hurts. I don't even consider using it because you can't use final shot and you can't hybridize. The double shot of normal attack is for proffing. That's it. And the faster magnum is inherent, and crash shot is barely faster.
I think I mentioned this in the renovation thread, AR is in fact more useful and powerful than magnum due to the fact that magnum requires you to either be using it on adv hs or a locked down target. AR also has five chances to crit and you pelt the arrows out MUCH faster than an elf will hit out magnums. The edge elves have on humans is very small, even AR's mechanics are insane when it comes to control and keeping it. even if you get stunned, that aim meter is still flying for AR. You could draw a b-line from the effectiveness of firebolt vs smash to elven magnum vs human AR. Genesis did one single thing in that it
killed AR spam, which had meant humans should almost
never gotten hit. The forced cooldown required humans to use magnum and crash shot outside of the most required situations. I do agree that while my post has neat ideas, they need tinkering and additional info to make what should be: Humans having a robust, yet stable and strong ranged that can not only deal damage on its own, but support other skillsets and itself. Ninja is considered a supporting skillset but that doesn't mean it can't rock on its own. Humans need a lot more utility in their ranged, while elves should get a great deal more power. Elven ranged is supposed to be a powerhouse not unlike the difference between giant to human melee, except it comes out to be hardly different.

[S]It doesn't need changing its a fucking joke to begin with.[/S]
I have no goddamn idea how to even make it useful. It hasn't been even considered since crash shot was made.
