Teh txt tlk hrts m i's bro.
Mods are against the ToS which is why people get banned for using them. If you just shut up and slide under the radar like any average monkey, you're safe.
And wrong section. GG newcomer :D

Mods might be against the ToS, but people rarely get banned for using 'em.
One guy won a video contest and his mods were clearly showing.
Don't worry about your mods, pinoy. Nexon doesn't really care as long as it doesn't affect their $$$.

They are actually good.
The only mods you can think and consider are bad are DLL edits and other hacks.
Mods =/= hacks either.
Because mods are client sided and do not effect others.

They're against the ToS but everyone uses them and I don't know anyone that has been banned by using them.

Depends on your personal preference. Some people think they're really bad, some think they're great.
Chances are you'll never get banned for using mods, so if you're okay with them, I wouldn't worry.

There are mods that are great lag-killers which everyone loves~

Cannibal wrote on 2010-07-13 14:45
There are still people against mods like that.
Because it "Isn't fair to everyone."

It doesn't matter to me since they aren't hacks :what:
If it's just for your eyecandy and doesn't affect anyone else then it's fine

Mods to me are good. I wouldn't lag with them, it's just the CP that I like. That and the color codes.. and a few others.. xD

Imo, I believe that Skin mods should be okay, as long as you keep it on the down load. Other than that the Mods that changes your game play such as the One Charge Fireball seems very unfair to the other players who doesn't mod their clients, therefor it's bad.

DLL edits and packet editing is hacking and is server sided, as in,
everyone can see you charge one cast fireball.
Modding? Neh. It's all client sided, so it's not like it harms everyone else.
Nexon has never cared about modding and probably never will.
It's the PE and DLL edits that they've been slightly worrying about now. I think they made a forum post about it.

Mods are a matter of preference. Personally, I enjoy my collection that I've put together over the past ~ 8 months.
And don't forget, not all DLL edits are bad. You know how you can see your hp in the negatives? That's a dll edit. You know how you can zoom in and out to greater ranges? That's also a dll edit. You know how you can use data folder mods? It's a dll edit that puts it all together.
You guys basically stated the old dll edits that will
never come back no matter how much people wish for them.
And to you..

If you knew anything about modding, you'd know that you can't modify serversided stuff. Sure, the amount of charges you have now are serversided, but back then, they were editable via the client's dll files. And who are you to say modding is all clientsided? Ever seen someone cuss another person out? That's also a mod.

They said they would capture and ban most of the mod users since 2009.
I have yet to see this.

True, I don't know much about mods. :l
I suppose I've never bothered to learn since it's not like I want to know how to DLL edit anyways.
