8/16 Season 2 Part 3 Update

  All the weapons gained nearly 2k attack, that is irrelevant to what I'm talking about.
  
  I'm comparing crit to balance ratios, not all the stats. There is hardly any cons to the dream follower yet all 3 swords have a terrible cons. Sacrifice 673 attack and 13 balance for 14 crit or sacrifice 493 attack and 7 balance for 7 crit or hardly crit at all. Instead of being a crit class sword lann is made into a class with a crit gimmick compared to spear lanns.
  
  So disappointing that I'm going to switch to Spears once season 2 comes out since it has invulnerability frames now. There is almost no point in being swords anymore when spear lanns have invincibility frames in the roll and roll into a roll is nearly the same as slip to nimble.
  
  I went from 32 crit to 56 to 61 then back to 60 with 90 balance. Still not critting as much as I like. Going from 12% crit chance to 36% is huge and even going to 41% chance from that is huge on raid bosses. 30% isn't going to cut it for me.

  The thing about Lann is that he can still do good in raids with high crit and "low" ATT.
  
  I did a Keaghan on my Lann yesterday, run was 13 minutes and I ended up getting 1st with 22% damage (beat out a +11 Raider's Stevie). I have 12.5k ATT, 54 Balance and 67 crit on my Lann.

  67 crit sure is nice. Shame we have to drastically lower our balance to get it while Spear Lann just get an extra 22% easily. Puts me in envy. Will definitely be getting a benesticktion. Wish infinities kept the 50 crit. Basically everything a sword lann can wish for, 9 attack speed and 50 crit, a sword of dreams.

  What I'm saying is that the classes aren't comparable in terms of weapons because they all function so differently that it's irrelevant. I'm also saying 5 crit isn't that big of a deal by comparison, and I'm a person who loves crit, especially on a Lann.

  The cap is 64, unless you're doing macha/hero mode or something... so you're only going to gain 4% no matter what.

  Spears do get major attacking bonuses with fury infusion, but like, they really don't have the survivability. I mean, someone who's good with swords can last a reeeally long time while still doing pretty good damage, but spears always have an imaginary death timer and if their gear can't keep up with the boss, they're in trouble. Thing is, the gear can't always keep up with the boss, particularly in some tougher hero mode maps. There's always that endless grind whereas swords can kinda pull a lot off by combining gear with being really good. Not saying they're "better", just that they're more reliable in the event ridiculous things get thrown their way.

  ...what? Were those the stats they had in the past or something? They have 45 crit and 3 attack speed now. If they had that, then yeah, they'd be WAY closer to the level 80s.

  I'm pretty sure the cap is at 70 with this crit formula:
  Physical crit chance = (Will / 2000) * 0.15 + (Critical skill / 100) + (Weapon Crit / 100) + (Crit from enchants / 100) - (Target crit resist / 100)) +0.03)
  
  Most raid boss crit resist is at 54
  
  Hero mode have the same crit resist I'm pretty sure.
  
  It had 50 crit and 9 attack speed in the testing servers.

  I heard macha raises crit/crit resist.
  
  Many raid bosses actually have 64 crit (w/o macha).
  
  Oh, whoops, I was somehow thinking of crit resist rather than crit. Yeah, crit cap would be 104 then (54+50), other than Lionotus and macha things. That includes all the bonuses that aren't displayed on the critical stat (crit skill, stats, etc). My bad, I was just thinking of the wrong set of information.
  
  I'm not sure if the base +3% factors into the crit cap of 50 or not. I don't include it when figuring out the cap. Maybe I should.

  From memory Staff Evy was mostly left unchanged, because she was more or less the only class that didn't need severe reworking (that, and she pretty much already got her revamp with the Focus system). Devcat probably went "okay we'll set the bar at our favourite staff evy and work from there" or something along those lines.
  Scythe got huge updates because the Staff almost completely rendered Scythe useless (or far less practical for all purposes). Scythe is now actually a competitive alternative as opposed to a gimmick.

  What? That's insane. I mean, .8? Are you sure? That would definitely prove to be quite an enormous chunk of invincibility. Damage-wise, I don't think she's going to be competing, though, unless they buff that too.

  Vella's buffed survivability sure makes this easy and the only thing that really required me to pay any attention at all was timing my wind step so it can go through both hits of his 2-hit combo and properly countering his laser barrage [which should get easier once I rank up my Backlash]

  0.3 for spears. Just about right. If Vella does more damage then a Sword Lann I'll be depressed. More survivability and damage...just like a Kai.
