This is why I love chrome. It's always right there telling you how secure a website is. I tend to use it a lot at work due to us dealing with a lot of secure domains.
Thanks Osay for this.

Cheap certificates :D
If all you care about is the encryption itself, doesn't matter where you get it.
It's when you need to get large insurances for millions of $ on your encryption in case of hackers, and to show reputable "secured by xyz" stickers on your site that you pay more.

That's unrelated. What page was it on? It means someone linked to an image or other file on mabiguru.

^Yes, yes it is. Thought I'm not sure if that has anything to do with Osay's recent change. MabiGuru is pretty much an Ad breeding ground, so it's no surprise that anything that has to do with it has your computer going nuts.

Which browser? I tested IE, chrome and FF with default settings.
IE didn't care at all about anything and let everything pass.
Chrome and FF had a one-time pop-up thingy and once I allowed it I never got asked again.

I'm in the same boat with Kitae, and I'm using Chrome... I've tried messing with settings, but nothing fixes it.
Like he said, anything with a video or image from certain websites asks, every time.

Did you get a yellowish bar on top that said "load anyways"?
After I clicked that it never bothered me again, I haven't played with any settings either.

Cannibal wrote on 2012-05-23 11:46
Yep. Click "load anyway" every time and it still pops up.

Honestly, using TLS for a gaming community's forum posts isn't worth it. The only real argument for it would be to keep the login session encrypted so that users don't have to worry about the remote possibility of someone stealing their login details over the network.
...except vB client-side hashes the password instead of sending it as plaintext. So really, you don't need TLS even for that phase. :<

Huh. That's interesting, every time someone posts a Youtube video - I get the popup.
I have to click it every time, but it doesn't bother me too much.
[S]It can get kind of annoying though.[/S]
But! I'm not complaining!~
Thanks for the work Osay :2thumb:

I'll just take it off then if it's annoying people. Had lots of people asking me how to use proxies or ssh tunnels to access nation from campuses and stuff so figured this would solve their issues. I'll put up a guide on using SSH tunneling instead.

Now this started occurring:

Load Anyway fixes it, till I load Nation again :P (not by refreshing, closing and reopening instead). Before this it was just the YT videos that it didn't like o-o
But yeah, same problem where it just won't go away D:
