  The point of pvp in Demon's Souls is to regain your body by killing the person who's doing the dungeon in body form
  Ruining someone else's night is the appeal as the game is hard.

  Monster Hunter is literally a party game. Kinda like Kirby's Air Ride, or Mario Party, or Castle Crashers. But it plays like an MMO. And is online so you don't have to invite people over to play.
  
  In most cases, single player games will be better in gameplay than multiplayer games. But what makes us so addicted to the multiplayer games is the fact that its multiplayer.
  
  Which actually brings me to another point...
  
  Lost Planet 2 is going to be better than Monster Hunter 3. Its basically shadow of the colossus, monster hunter, and gears of war put together.

  He never said it wasn't good just that you shouldn't judge MH when you lack knowledge and experience in it.

  It takes a bit of time before a user learns the mechanic of defense and realizes this game is actually better than he thought.
  
  I mean, I've been saying this a bunch already, but I'll say it again. Theres a reason why this game is so popular.
  
  When it was released on the PSP, it was the number one PSP game for a long time. And right now its the number one Wii title.
  
  There was even a hayate no gotoku chapter where all the girls get together with their psp's and team up against some monsters D:
  
  In any case, don't hate on Monster Hunter. I rarely give games released these days an A rating, and Monster Hunter gets it. Though thats for the PSP version. I don't know about the Wii version, haven't played it yet and I'm afraid the wii's horrendous online service might handicap this game a bit.

  And Demon Soul gameplay might be darker, more realistic, and challenging, but overall the fun meter itself just doesn't add up to the more fantasy gameplay settings that Monster Hunter takes. And since you only gave Monster Hunter 45 minutes, you can't judge. If you gave Twilight Princess 45 minutes, you'd think its a game where you herd goats.
  
  You might prefer Demon Soul, but you'd be a minority then.

  it's a minority is demon's soul has a higher average of ratings with 3 times more critics than monster hunter

  Do each person only 1 vs. 1 a monster or they spam attacks on a single one?
  
  If the cat is trolling, it's unintentional.
  The cat doesn't enjoy games just because it has online multiplayer or just because it has a community.
  You can have a party full of people spamming windmill on a mid tier dungeon like ciar adv (normal)
  that's not fun.

  Up to 4 players work together to bring down Giant beasties, cooperation is a must. Voice Chat with Wii Speak for better communication.
  
  Spamming attacks will get you killed.

  the cat is very well aware the monster has a pattern in moving and attacking that there are times when you need to attack them
  
  the cat doesn't see how this requires cooperation unless if there's not a lot of possible time for just 1 person to attack the weak spots each time it's safe
