Server move

  Over the weekend (july 23 - 25), I'll be moving Nation to a new server.
  The process itself shouldn't be more than a couple of hours, however depending on your ISP you might not be able to access the website for significantly longer.
  
  The reason for that is your ISPs DNS servers might think "mabination.com" is still pointing to the IP address of the old server while it's actually on a different IP for the new server.
  
  To help with that, the old server will still have Nation functioning on it but with a maintenance mode message telling you that you're on the old server, and a few things you can try out to get to the new one. At worst you'll be stuck waiting until the association of name to IP updates naturally to your ISP.

  If they don't cache for long then I guess so. Not familiar with them, I quit using them ages ago. I use google's DNS right now and it took about a day for it to work on my other websites. Just in case no one else is using them though I would suggest waiting until after the maintenance to start using them, this way they don't have it cached.

  Tired of having my websites on shared hosting. Right now Nation is sharing a server with ~100 other websites, most of them illegal "watch this tv-show online" sites and porn. So time for my own server.

  OKay, cool, I have no clue what this means, but if I cant get on the site Ill know why, and then Ill refresh every 5 seconds anyway hoping for it to work....

  Community-based database, and it updates instantly, I think. So you can update the domain's IP of OpenDNS quickly.
